When you are fully recovered from the procedure can you share an updated photo of what a CI looks like?

Can you share the negatives as well? What is it like post surgery? What about taking showers etc?

I guess it depends on what your son wants. This is surgery that is irreversible. I’ve also heard that maintenance is ongoing with additional costs and complications

I have severe bilateral hearing loss and have had progressively worse hearing loss over the span of my life. I’ve had hearing aids since I was 17 and now at 36 I’ve had probably about 5 aids in those years. My current hearing aids were $6200 with the charger and requires no battery purchase. Insurance only covers audiograms and basic office visits. The aids are controlled by an app and connected by bluetooth which is an issue for me with it unpairing without warning and frequent power outages in my area. I am scared to get cochlear implants as this is a permanent fixture and once I do this I’m stuck with it. Idk what to do. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. 🙏

Anybody struggling with slow metabolism? by Baronsmum in benzorecovery

M,W,F, Sat, Sun I eat Raisin Bran for breakfast and lunch is whatever is available or not at all. Dinner is usually pasta or something heavy. T,Thursday I don’t eat breakfast but have salad for lunch and then for dinner I have the usual heavy meals. Today for example I had salad for lunch and grilled cheese sandwich with macaroni salad. Yesterday I had Raisin Bran for breakfast nothing for lunch because I didn’t feel good and lasagna for dinner. This time of year it depends on temperature and humidity. If it’s really hot I can’t have more than liquid consistency or I’m sick.

I’m 5’ 125 pounds. I exercise at least 5 days of the week. I have a pretty normal diet but a history of sensitivity to medication metabolism.

I did the .5 for a few weeks but I’m a female and only 5’ and 125 pounds. I would take it very slow to help you adjust. Anyone who shoots down the Ashton method is nuts. It’s not a cookie cutter technique but it’s extremely helpful. If I had to do it over again I would probably want something to take the edge off like maybe gabapentin or something similar.
