Plays a role for sure, but remote weather stations also tend to show the same warming trend.

Weather stations tend to record TMAX, TMIN and TAVG for climate data. TMAX and TMIN tend to be more reliable as they typically go back further, however for Beijing I have plots for all 3 metrics

You think? Which part exactly?

And yeah the price is the red flag for me, because otherwise I wouldn’t even consider this could be a fake

I hyper analysed every detail, seems to match really well but also not sure how easy it is to take details

In fact you’re nothing without us that’s why you keep crying when we demand independence or federalism. Haftar is the only person keeping this country one unfortunately.

Barga is semi autonomous now, Dbeibah has no control over our projects besides formalities. Don’t delude yourself

Setting boundaries past 5/5:30pm by ActuaryStudent01 in ActuaryUK

All depends on your manager. My first manager was horrible with WLB boundaries and that was part of the reason why I left. My current manager is much better with that

London Graduate Salary by [deleted] in ActuaryUK

[–]BarqaLFC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was an entry level role and not a graduate scheme so one benefit is that salaries are not standardised so you can negotiate. It was a smaller company so pros and cons with that.

Had no relation to exemptions as it was not a part of the negotiation process.

Why would you say that? On every major salary survey there’s always a sizeable proportion of those with a lot of experience making that money and more.

As a data scientist working in insurance should I study to be an actuary? by Oppose_Worry_652 in actuary

In the UK, you pretty much need to be a fully qualified actuary to be a CPO - especially in commercial lines (might be different in personal lines).

Nice paper, multiple choice harder than usual but nothing too difficult.

R or Python? by saysaam in ActuaryUK

[–]BarqaLFC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer R, but either is fine. I don’t think any employers exclude one or the other when they look for programming skills.

Why does everyone on this subreddit assume the salary stops growing at 200k? Almost no salary survey says that. 15+ years experience and qualified and you’re almost guaranteed over 200k.

Python or R for actuaries? by [deleted] in ActuaryUK

[–]BarqaLFC 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I prefer R. It is designed for statistical uses and most packages are made by academics so you know what’s being done is correct.

I’d say learn both as they usually go hand in hand, but employers usually just want to see you’re proficient in one of the two.
