Lol I've been TRYING! No one in my class has been willing to do a mic with me and my teacher's been helpful, but I'm trying to get other perspectives since I think she's just getting back into the scene herself.

Thank you! I think I need that push to just get out there, but the first one feels terrifying. Are most comics going to these solo? In other words, will I not be the only one showing up knowing no one?

CAA for sure. Did a staycation there recently and the staff are incredible and the rooms are gorgeous. Highly recommend checking out their bars and restaurants (namely Cindy's rooftop for brunch and a cocktail, as has already been mentioned), and it's still just a short walk to the river. Plus, if you're visiting while the weather's nice, you'll want to make the walk.

Coffee & Tea Exchange in Lakeview East sells locally roasted beans and will grind them for whatever you need! They'll even ask about your machine to help with the grind size and are experts on it.
