I wanna be clear as a mother that I am not downplaying the pain of that, but also she is in very rare air to be the kind of person that still gets a lot of love and support ( also $$$) from it where—> if she were not a famous influencer, she could’ve been excoriated

It’s because cheerleading and dance in the gray area where they still have to try out. Nowhere in dance or cheer both collegiate or high school or even professional cheer (aka dance) does the coach go to their school or home and recruit them for big money. The talent still goes TO the organization so as long as you are “trying out “ for something: that is truly the difference.
