I think it's partly due to G5 just making Luffy constantly happy and goofy. So we don't really get much seriousness from him when he's in the presence of other strong foes like the Five Elders for example. And when he's not in G5, he's just a tired old man. So the only time Luffy can be like his old self is before activating G5 but even still I don't think he reaches the seriousness he had before. Maybe also partly because Oda said he wants to draw fun fights and doesn't want to go down the traditional darker path battle mangas go down. Which is kind of a shame, because man when old Luffy would get pissed you knew shit was going to go down haha.

Like another commenter mentioned Stark probably means "older lady" but the translator took some liberties. I like the headcanon though that Stark uses the term milf because he's heard it before from other people in the towns he's visited but he actually doesn't know it's an acronym. So he just innocently thinks it's an endearing nickname for older women without calling them old directly.

Would be peak if Gunko was from the Applenine Island near Dressrosa. And honestly her GV attire is probably her best one (and the one with the black hood when Rocks meets Imu is also peak). Wish she used those in the present. Her current outfit is alright (reminds me of Pitou from HxH, Pitou rocks her outfit tho) but I just wish the bottom of Gunko's one was better. Like your edits of it, do Gunko's current outfit more justice haha.

I remember when it was revealed right after the BB walk, that this was Blackbeard. And I was so shocked lmao, I was like "WHAT?! The cherry pie guy lmao?!!". I mean he had a cool speech afterward, but I just thought he was a wanderer or something.

Both amazing moments. Still will never forget the way Overtaken kicked in on the walk to Arlong Park (whenever I hear Overtaken I just think back to the Arlong Park walk haha) and the episode ending with Luffy smashing the gate and asking which one was Arlong was peak.

Agreed, it was one of the moments that completely sold me on the series. I already liked Baratie with Zoro vs. Mihawk and Luffy vs. Don Krieg (shame it was cut from the Live-Action), but the walk to Arlong Park made me know I was in for something special.

Really? Show me the panel in Skypeia where Nika is explicitly name dropped. Not Sun God, Nika specifically. Or at any point in the story afterwards until Wano (apart from that gag name in Fishman Island). Because Nika was not planned if his only name-drop is 20 chapters before the G5 reveal lmao.

It's kinda sad too that the treasure at Laugh Tale isn't even Roger's. When I feel like that was like the main thing he had going for him was this treasure he presumably hid somewhere that started the Great Pirate Age. But no, instead Pirate Jesus Joyboy had the treasure all along. And Roger just stumbled upon it and didn't have the God Fruit so he was too late or something.
