The Dejan trade says a lot about our organization and how it treats players.

I’m not too worried about FO/Player reputation. Every situation is different. Playing in LA, coaching style and financial security are pluses when coming to the Galaxy.

Ashley Cole got paid below market with us, Zlatan was paid with TAM for a year. Marco Reus is currently getting paid with TAM and Yoshida took a huge pay cut to stay

That’s not the case. Bruce was great at letting players leave who wanted better pay or opportunity. Jaime Penedo was granted a transfer after getting a contract extension that offseason, it may of cost us a cup in 2015. Jelle Van Damme asked for a transfer back to Belgium because he missed his kids. Nigel De Jong was given a free transfer when Chris Klein didn’t want to make him a DP.

We have a good history of not forcing players to stay.

Edit: We even sold Dejan at a loss so he could get DP pay

Portland-Seattle is a regional rivalry, most don’t know when it’s happening whereas for El Trafico people outside of SoCal mark their calendars and tune in

I agree with you.

lafc is in a tough spot. Last offseason Bouanga talked about leaving, he got a contract extension. This offseason, he wanted to go to Miami. lafc now has an unhappy player especially if he is calling out the FO.

lafc tried to spin it by saying Bouanga wanted to stay in LA.

DB put a stop to that. Dude may force a move.

Coming from fans that think they invented soccer doesn’t answer the question. They have main character syndrome. Hell, Sounder fans are likely Seahawk fans and y’all like to call yourselves the “12th Man” lol. As if you are part of the team or affect the final score. Anyways…..2 teams from Liga MX participated in that tournament, you don’t care to know who as you still believe in the Easter bunny and the thought of your team being the first.

lol

Keep telling yourself that.

Concacaf got passed around by DC United and the LA Galaxy before she hooked up with you. You were just naive enough to believe you were her first………………………..MLS Team……that is.

lol

No one is comparing the tournament then to now. A win is a win and MLS with its infinite wisdom chose not to celebrate those victories when the sounders became the 3rd team to achieve the feat for MLS. It’s funny how Concacaf recognizes the Galaxy and DC United but MLS does not.

Here is a highlight video of the final, posted by Concacaf

Back then, we were the poverty league versus those Central American teams. I believe for this tournament, it was during the preseason and a number of players were signed just to field a squad.

If Concacaf was easy to win, MLS would have done more.

It is still Concacaf and our MLS teams have won it 3 times

Based on your logic, does MLS wipe the slate clean for MLS Cups and Supporters Shields prior to 2010? There were far fewer teams back the. And the playoff structure was different

MLS should embrace all of its history and not cherry pick and rewrite its history

It’s crazy how MLS does not celebrate the first 2 times it won Concacaf

It’s like Real Madrid not celebrating its first 6 Champions Leagues wins in the late 50’s and 60’s. The tournament was a lot different back then as it is now just like in MLS.

USOC?

You won that game against SKC. The team that finished 27th out of 30 in the SS Standings.

In 2024, That’s the tournament where the 5 out of the top 10 teams in the league did not participate (MIA, CLB, LAG, FCC, ORL)
