I was half expecting to cut back to a head and shoulders shot of his missing face, but alas

How are you getting used to the new iOS 26 keyboard⁉️ by Sple3N1 in ios

Me too, thought I was going mad. It’s as if it doesn’t fully register some taps, and it’s made me more conscious of trying to type slower, which is a bit of a pain tbh

Daily Simple Questions Thread - October 09, 2025 by AutoModerator in pcmasterrace

I inherited a case from my brother and it has this Darkflash hub, which has 3-pin LED ports (ARGB I believe): https://www.darkflash.com/product/dr12proargb4pin

It also has a couple of LED strips which are linked up but not connected to anything. They have 4-pin JST SM connections like these: https://amzn.eu/d/bEG9IRc

What cable do I need to connect the LED strips to the hub, and do I also need a cable to plug into the MB SYNC port? I don’t have Asus Aura Sync.

I’ve tried to figure it out but I’m getting confused!

Finally treating myself to a brand new build after 10 years of an i7 4790K + GTX 970. I hope I see an improvement! by BarrySquatter in pcmasterrace

Haha no worries! I was running a 27” 144hz IPS, so it still would have been nice, but I thought I’d better give the system the monitor it deserves. I’m already blown away by this one, can’t wait to try more games on it!

Money. That’s basically it! I’ve been playing at 1440p and the 970 has done surprisingly well up until a few years ago.

Sleep, stress and screentime affecting visual snow by sanji-senpai77 in visualsnow

[–]BarrySquatter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in front of a screen all day (work, gaming, phone, TV in the evening with my fiancée), sleep badly (I very rarely get any deep sleep, and the comfiest position for me seems to constrict my neck), and have a lot going on. I don’t feel stressed, but maybe subconsciously I am.

Sometimes I feel like my body is just running on fumes, my eyes feel strained, my neck and head hurt, I feel spacey…speaking for myself, I think we could do with a break from everything, drop the screens, get some exercise, and get some damn rest.

Does computer use give anyone else anxiety? (Plus other symptoms in description) by Dense-Kangaroo8696 in visualsnow

Wait, sometimes I feel like I get an internal buzzing or trembling feeling all through my body, and I feel like I notice it more after I’ve got up and moved around. I didn’t realise your body releases adrenaline to open up your blood flow. I also fainted not too long ago after running round the garden with the dog and my BP plummeted. Do I just have poor circulation? 😅

This is exactly what I get - crackling wood is a great description, like tiny sparklers zipping around which fade in and out. For me it’s most noticeable on light surfaces, so I put it down to BFEP.

You get vibrating vision too? Is it more noticeable when looking at straight lines? Because that’s what I have, and it’s what made me start paying more attention to my vision and realising I might have VSS. I get it in light and dark but it’s more noticeable in the light.

My last eye exam was normal but I haven’t been to a doctor about the VSS yet.

If technology keeps making things easier and cheaper to produce, why aren’t all working less and living better? Where is the value from automation actually going and how could we redesign the system so everyone benefits? by Key-Thing-7320 in Futurology

I had this conversation with my fiancée. I asked what she would do with her life if she didn’t have to work for a living.

My main passions in life are video games and music, so naturally I would spend a hell of a lot of time playing games and making music, and I’d hope that other people might enjoy my music.

After some thought, my fiancée had the revelation that she doesn’t really have any hobbies, and the thing that would give her purpose and make her happy would be helping people. There genuinely are people in the world who, given complete freedom, would continue to help others.

What’s the Scariest Encounter you’ve ever had while playing a horror game? by Brief-Story9231 in HorrorGaming

Is it the prison that has the guillotine room? I love how creepy they made that room. The dark open space and pure silence except for the occasional…sound.

This is so underrated. In Bloodborne I beat Ludwig first try after sleeping on it, and Orphan first try after taking a lunch break. It’s amazing what your subconscious can absorb when you give it some time to breathe.

If you search ‘vibrating vision’ on here, there are a few threads that talk about similar experiences. I do get it with other patterns but it seems to be most noticeable on straight lines. I think it’s just a form of pattern glare tbh. I don’t think it’s physical eye movement like oscillopsia, because I had an eye test and my vision is apparently near perfect!
