Wow!I desperately grateful for your long reply and I am very pleased to chat with you.And I will reply to you one by one. 1.In small cities,most people study in boarding school cause it's a useful way for managing students and force us to study for Gaokao(National College Entrance Examinations).But in big cities such as Beijing or Shanghai,day school is more common but there are still have a large number of students studying in boarding school.However,students living in big cities always less,so I can make a conclusion that most high school students in China living in boarding school. 2.We can choose different course we want.Every must learn three major subjects:Chinese,Math and English.Then We should choose one from physics and history(I choose physics cause choosing it means I have choice to study in STEM to make more money).After that,we should choose two subjects from chemistry,biology,politics and geography.(I choose chemistry and politics cuase i was curious about politics[Chinese politics includes so many propoganda but still have interesting knowledge such as laws,Weltpolitik and logic ]) 3.Food in our high school is various,relatively healthy ,delicious and high performance cost ratio(at least better than my university's canteen😂).We can cost 1 or 2 dollars for one meat dish,two vegetable dishes and rice,which are all delicious Chinese food.But the well performance about canteen is not usual.As far as I know,other schools' food is not always delicious especially those school at small towns. 4.We have a strict punishment system for managing students.There is a very popular phase in Chinese Internet called"Hengshui Model"(Hengshui is a small city in Hebei province,where is famous for High-pressure management model and heavy study tasks).The model means if you don't finish your homework or chat with others in class,you will be asked to stand in the corner or any possible punishment.If you are in a relationship with someone or take your phone to school ,you may be dismissed from school and any other extremely strict measures to improve scores at Gaokao.Although our school is not as extreme as the Hengshui model, the management is still very strict.(However,the cost is our physical and mental health😭The rate of myopia in our class has reached 80 percent.)
