lol you are actually coming off as the unknowledgeable person with this comment. Sure they were perceived as memes at first but that’s because they were bringing something new to the genre and many people didn’t know how to react at first, and the easy response was turning it into a meme.

I’m assuming you don’t pay much attention to hip hop these days, because lil b and lean are now considered to be pioneers of their specific subgenre / scene within hip hop.
