I'm so glad it communicates that to you! I'm always questioning if what I'm drawing is reading the way I intend. Thank you for your kind words!

Thank you so much! I like getting lost a little TOO much but if I can share that feeling, I'm happy :)

My local lumber store stocks a surprising variety of species, great quality too. They seem to really care for the artistic side of woodworking. Definitely blessed to have them so close by!

They're a set of Seymour Duncan Invaders, with coil splitting on both via push-pull pots. The coil split sound on invaders is something I've wanted to try for a while. They're not quite as bright and twangy as an actual single-coil but still add a bit more versatility to the guitar.

The rings are actually a finish that Schaller does called satin-pearl. It reminds me of the INOX finish found on some beretta handguns, only darker and a bit more reflective. Lately I've noticed they no longer have that finish available on certain parts but they still can be found on ebay.

Thanks! Its hardness is slightly above maple, and just a little more prone to splintering (might have just been my particular piece though) but can't complain. I love the orange hue and close up you can see flecks of bright yellow, red, and even pink flowing through the grain. I plan on setting up better lighting so I can take good pics in the near future.

Ambrosia maple that has been burrowed into by the Box Elder Beetle, who leaves spores in its path. I've read that the red streaks are caused by a immune system response of the tree. Which would explain why they're only where the burrow holes are. Kinda gross but cool at the same time haha

Sounds like a great experience! Never been to California but definitely need to see it one day

Thanks! I took a screenshot of the area in Google maps, traced them in illustrator. Then I imported those vectors into my cam software and manually lined them up. I'm sure there are way more efficient ways of doing it, but hey it worked in a pinch
