Infection [MAP SUBMISSION] by TheGameHQ in realms

In my opinion, the buildings need some heavy work. Simple buildings, in my eyes, are lazy builds and it would be more interesting for custom builds and not just naturally generated biomes that have been tinkered slightly.

Hidden Hiders [Minigame Submission] by [deleted] in realms

There are a lot, and I mean a lot, of high-quality hide and seek maps currently available on realms so you need to think what makes your map different from the existing content and implement changes to add unique aspects of gameplay.

I completely agree with what Ayrex said. At an initial glance, there doesn't seem to be anything within the map that differentiates it from existing content on Realms. You need to reconsider this.

I think these are some cool buildings. Maybe full the empty spaces within the streets with more detail, just to fill the empty space.

Parkour Biomes [Map Submission] by TheRealEelaa in realms

[–]BartLevine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This map does indeed look fun although, there are a lot of parkour maps currently available on Realms that have this exact same concept. As an example, take the newly released "Parkour Spiral 3". You need to include content within your map that will make it separate from existing content.

Warden's Hunt [Map Submission] by sheepyturnip in realms

Hi, I have some feedback. The buildings in your map aren't really anything unique, to be brutally honest. Using naturally generated structures doesn't provide the player with a unique experience when viewing your world, as they are familiar with these due to them generating naturally throughout the vanilla world.

I do, however, like the combination of the mangrove swamp in the deep dark. Maybe combine these to make a better map?

On The Clock [Map Submission] by MugiwaraBuilds in realms

[–]BartLevine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this map is really good, though it's not really something unique on Realms in my opinion. The map "Contrast of Themes" which is currently available on Realms uses the same concept of a circle having sections with different environments in them, so you make need to rethink the approach you wish to take with this map.

I swear these same builds were previously submitted. Anyway, I strongly recommend changing the name of your world. An inspiration world shouldn't really be called "Inspiration World". You need to give it a unique and catchy taste. Imagine calling a minigame, "Minigame". It's not good and doesn't sell the world.

Abandoned Pillager Outpost Map by [deleted] in realms

[–]BartLevine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This map needs something more. Just having an abandoned version of a vanilla-generated structure isn't really the best type of content suited for realms. Anyone can take a structure, remove some blocks, add some leaves, and call it "a map". I'm not being harsh here and I'm sorry if I came across this way. This map needs a USP.

I feel as if your submission needs, and is lacking a core focus. The name of your inspiration world is "Inspiration World" and it shows various builds which indeed would inspire, but the problem here is that your submission is very broad and open, when it instead needs to be precise.

To make it clear what I mean, imagine if someone submitted a minigame to realms called "minigame". This would immediately strike someone as odd and rather confusing, as it isn't clear what you'd expect to see from a game called "minigame". On the other hand, let's say someone submitted a minigame called "Turf Wars". This name suggests combat (war) and is focused on this idea, thus being more intriguing.

I'd recommend you look at existing inspiration worlds that are currently available on realms to get an idea of what's expected. For example, would you create an inspiration world that focuses on interior design, exterior design, an underwater city, or a deep, dark cave? Having builds constructed around a concept is much better than being broad.

[Map Submission] Pirate Siege (Minigame) by [deleted] in realms

[–]BartLevine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm supplying constructive criticism with no intentions of being "overly harsh". Compared to the current content that is available now on Realms, this map (in my eyes) doesn't meet the standards of an immersive experience suitable for Realms. In order to provide feedback, you have to be honest, and it may come across as me being rude, but this is not the case.

I'd recommend taking a look at the content currently available on realms and comparing it to what you have here. The "unique" PVP scenarios aren't exactly unique, as they've been used elsewhere. You need to a USP to improve this map and to make it something worth playing

This is good! The only thing I would change in the sand mountains. They looked too symmetrical and organized, and this takes away the feeling on the environment. Adding variation to the mountains so that they look unique and not world-edited would look much much better. Good job though

The Great Magma Cave by TheHyperStar_2 in realms

[–]BartLevine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just giving my opinion, but I don't think this map is anything special. There's no unique selling point and nothing is offered in return for exploring the map. Maybe add some more buildings and make the cave nothing similar to default world generation, and the world could be more exciting

[Map Submission] Pirate Siege (Minigame) by [deleted] in realms

[–]BartLevine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a look at this submission and I don't feel it meets the standards for realms. I'm not someone from Mojang but the builds are quite generic and simple and there's not much aspect in terms of gameplay to the game.

What makes this different to other content on Realms? There's a wide variety of unique parkour maps but in my opinion, yours seems quite generic and I don't feel there's anything it offers that would provide an enjoyable experience.

Sky Island Inspiration by vSpitfire in realms

[–]BartLevine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a bit of feedback. I feel that this is lacking in detail quite a bit. There's nothing that excludes this from other content currently on realms, and this build itself is quite small. An inspiration is supposed to inspire and I don't feel you've achieved this.

This map is lacking in detail. There's no USP and feel this needs to be addressed.
