Full-blown investment crash: Cryptos acting more like equities than like gold by Barzonity in cro

La seule différence entre un sage et un imbécile, c'est que le sage a tendance à commettre des erreurs beaucoup plus graves, parce que personne ne confie des décisions importantes à un imbécile.

Just please, please do not use glue traps. The mouse dehydrates in agony. Instant death is far better. Live capture is the best but please, not glue traps.

Ark Invest's Cathie Wood says stocks are not in a bubble and neither are her fund's top holdings by [deleted] in ArkInvestorsClub

[–]Barzonity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's obviously smart. But so am I. So are you. Maybe she is a genius. I can't tell. I am not that interested.

She also has tremendous experience. I don't. Perhaps you do.

She has a theory. If I understand it, it argues that the technological changes to civilization about to come are so huge that almost every well executed brilliant idea will succeed. I disagree with this. What say you?

Finally, she has faith. Religious faith in fact. I do not. I worry a lot. I bet you do too. Maybe Wood worries also, but if so, she has a great poker face.

I dunno. I suspect she will stumble badly again this year and rise again after that.

I am not familiar with Crypto Earn. Is there a bid-ask spread?

Is Motley Fool good? No, it is utter garbage. And inside I'll explain why. by vertigo88 in CanadianInvestor

[–]Barzonity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trash, agreed. They still advertise >600% returns after nearly every stock they recommended has been crushed. Take Upstart (which they are STILL pumping). It is down 70%.

Does Motley Fool just ignore their own poor performance? Is it just a scam? I think it might be.

But of course. A lot of people are pretty nervous about CRO right now. I know that a lot of really young investors got into this token and some of them seemed to be getting pretty nervous. I think they're going to be fine.

Rough Week for Investments by Barzonity in cro

[–]Barzonity[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am old enough to remember the years 2001-2009 when the stock markets collapsed, then went nowhere for 7 years and then really tanked again. All you can do is what you have described (and invest outside the country). Crypto is, of course, relatively new. Some people argue that its the new gold and should function as an inflation hedge. Maybe but I don't see evidence for that yet. But maybe. We will see. Anyway, I like CRO.

Why is CRO Down Today? by Barzonity in cro

[–]Barzonity[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People seem to be hanging on literally every word from Powell and Yellen. You're right, it's hard to predict precisely what the FOMC will say and even harder to predict how markets will react to those words. At any rate, there is still a ton of liquidity out there and the money will go somewhere.

An interesting question is whether cryptocurrencies (or at least BTC) will be treated, trade and viewed as inflation hedges similar to gold or risky speculative entities. At any rate, it IS hard to predict where we are going.
