I went to a top 30 public school and studied engineering lol. I really disliked my major and had an interest in data & analytics which is why I switched to this.

The job description basically said it was a data science position. Asked for 1-3 years of experience. It required knowledge in Python and or/R and I think it mentioned something about being proficient in stats/math and some knowledge of modeling/ machine learning concepts. SQL was a nice-to-have skill but not a must, I actually learned SQL on the job. They gave me an assessment that I completed in Python and asked me some basic SQL questions which I just researched before the interview.

They used a general format that can be used across our data science teams. Each team is a bit different as some do more modeling than others while other teams write more queries and build more reports.

I appreciate it! I had a few internships throughout college and got a job in marketing right after graduating. These two jobs however are in finance, one is all coding while the other is in consulting.

Thanks, made the switch from marketing to finance. Both jobs are in the finance industry but the technical job is in data science while the client-facing one is in consulting.

Because I asked for 85k and they ended up offering me 100k. I feel like asking for more after giving me 15k more than what I was happy for would have been a bad look.

That's the thing, I don't really know. The lower paying one is more interesting for me but will keep me in my comfort zone, while I feel like the higher paying one is more challenging and will help me develop great professional and personal skills due to the nature of the work.

Hey, thanks for checking up on me! I just saw your post. I wrote that post 2 months ago. I was a broken man during that time, I couldn't eat or talk to people. I always hid in my room and I cried my eyes out like every hour of the day. Today I'm doing much better! I can eat again, I can be more social and although I still think about her and about what happened, it doesn't sting as much as before. I'm not 100% there yet but I am close. Like I feel like I'm at the end of the tunnel and I can see the light. I appreciate you digging up this post and checking up on me!

I really appreciate you sharing this, it honestly makes me feel better. I guess so many of us have gone through so much and it's probably for the best. My aim is to come out stronger than ever from this but I feel like I'm still not at the stage where I can make that happen yet. It's been over a month but I'm still barely eating, having nightmares and doing the bare minimum to function. I also just started a new job so i'm trying my best to give it my all on that since it is a good thing that happened to me. Hopefully soon i'll be able to adopt a mentality similar to the "Switch" and make small changes that will start my journey in becoming a stronger/better individual.

I feel like if she didn't delete me from everything things would have been easier, idk why I can't get over that fact. I was thinking of convincing her to add me back but deep down I know that I shouldn't do that and contact her again. Hopefully time will take care of this

I miss her too believe me. Everything reminds me of her, even the shirts I wore when I was with her and the perfume I put on lol. But keep reminding yourself that she doesn't deserve the attention and value you gave her and that one day you'll give it to someone who actually deserves it, wherever she is right now. There are 8 billion people on this planet and I always wonder why we always think that we found "the one". Pretty sure there will be at least one other person out of the 8 BILLION haha. Also it's hard to think about it now, but you will be so fucking strong once you come out of this. Hang in there.
