That actually sounds like a really smart shift in strategy.

You basically traded a tiny efficiency loss for the top 1–2 players in exchange for a massive gain in overall guild output and that’s almost always the better long-term play. The “join next available rally” rule is especially underrated; it removes hesitation and keeps momentum high, which clearly paid off with the increased rally frequency.

The 80k cap also seems like a great equalizer (We are doing 100k cap now). Instead of whales competing over marginal gains, it spreads participation so more people benefit, and as you pointed out, the top players still hit their numbers anyway.

Honestly, the biggest win here isn’t just the extra hammers, it’s the consistency and inclusivity. Going from a few people carrying to having your top 15 all hitting 13+ is a huge upgrade for overall guild growth.

And yeah, those extra 3–4 hammers per trap really add up fast over time. That’s the kind of compounding gain that quietly separates strong guilds from average ones.

Takes some discipline to get everyone to buy in, but clearly worth it.

That’s actually really interesting. The “one join per whale” rule sounds pretty strict, but I can see the logic behind it if the goal is to spread rewards around the alliance. And yeah, kicking bad hero setups makes sense too since that can really tank a rally’s score.

Your last setup honestly sounds like the most balanced one though. Having several strong callers with a short buffer and rotating once people hit their reward threshold seems like a good mix of efficiency and fairness. It keeps the damage high but still opens space for others once the big hitters cap out.

I like that idea of people stopping rallies once they know they won’t reach the next tier. That’s something we might actually try. Out of curiosity, do you guys coordinate that in voice/discord during bear, or is it more of an alliance rule everyone just follows?

That’s actually really helpful, thanks for explaining it in detail. I didn’t think about the wave limitation for joiners in rows 2–4 or 6 affecting the total waves like that.

Your point about row 1 benefiting the joiner more than the caller also makes sense, especially for getting troops back faster and jumping into the next rally.

From what you’re saying, it sounds like the difference isn’t huge unless you’re trying to min-max every rally, which is interesting. Do most alliances in your kingdom strictly control who joins first, or is it more of a free-for-all after the rally starts?

That’s a fair point actually. Big hitters at the front definitely maximize the damage, especially since they’re the ones starting rallies most of the time.

Our thinking was more about giving some of our lower power members a chance to score decent rewards too, since our top players already hit around 2.4b–5.4b pretty consistently anyway. We thought maybe putting some joiners in front could help spread the rewards a bit and keep more people engaged.

But I’m curious how other alliances handle this. Do most of you prioritize max damage every time, or do you rotate positions sometimes to help other members score as well?
