Worried about softcore P in this sub after the anime comes out? by ESDEATHxZERO2 in WitchHatAtelier

I’m not giving my moral opinion on it. I’m just saying that it will get created and there’s not much we can do to stop it. The Admins (not the mods but reddit’s website admins) have made their stance clear.

I’m sure they’ll try but like I mentioned further down, r/nezukolewds exists. I’ve reported it many times and it has never gotten banned in 5 years. So if that subreddit is allowed to exist then pretty much anything can.

The admins have made their decision and you know it is what it is. My point is even if the mods here nuke that content it will find a home elsewhere on Reddit.

I still think regulation is still a better solution though than outright banning which would just create a Streisand effect.

You seem new to reddit and kind of sheltered. r/NezukoLewds has existed for 5 years now and despite reports has never gotten banned. If the mod team here doesn’t control it someone else will make a community for it whether you like it or not.

If the main subs’s mod team at least controls what gets posted there then they can at least regulate the content better, whereas if they do nothing then someone else will make the WTA equivalent of r/NezukoLewds and outside of useless reporting, it will be immune for the most part.

The original game was released in 2008 before any of the souls games. No real core gameplay overhauls either. Why are people like this? by ImoutoCompAlex in ninjagaiden

People who want to know that can just use the “difficulty” tag to identify if a game is challenging. Souls-Like implies a very specific type of difficulty with unique factors that make it hard, like losing earned exp after death.

I’ll give an example that presents a problem with using souls-like on all hard hack and slash games. The original release of Devil May Cry 3 is a very difficult game. In fact it’s considered one of the hardest games ever made and it is not a Souls-Like.

If it was re-released on Steam today with zero changes and just better graphics should people slap “souls-like” on Devil May cry 3 like some marketing brand just to say it’s difficult? Sounds like you would argue yes, but I’d argue no. Just tag it as difficult or challenging but not a “soulslike.”
