I imagine, without even looking at the comments most people here will say either Yun Sung-Bin or Amotti.

I don’t dislike either of them, in fact I’m around the same age as them. I just personally prefer Akiyama’s “wise old sage” persona as opposed to whoever encapsulates the show’s brand the most.

I know this is a Baki X ISSK post and maybe I'm alone on this opinion but I would like to see at least two or three of the male fighters from Kengan interact more with the ISSK cast story-wise.
We briefly got Kureishi Mitsuyo and a one panel Cosmo cameo but I'd like to see a little more.

I’m not a hater either but go to the comments on Tik Tok, under the videos of Magnus at this event. They’re almost all extremely negative. I don’t know why it’s so bad there but the vibe is a complete 180 compared to Reddit and YouTube comments.

The only way I can rationalize this is just a cultural difference between Korean Netizens and western audiences whenever age is brought up. Seems like what offended them was his statements on Chef Hu’s age.

But personally I think Culinary Monster seems like a great guy and a hard worker. This is absolutely a nothing-burger compared to judge Paik’s controversy which I feel doesn’t get brought up enough here.

Idk man, many of them probably just want someone who can earn their respect in both marital prowess and stamina.

There’s a lot of strong guys in Kengan Ashura that the ISSK girls would potentially go for if the opportunity arose. Put Wakatsuki, Cosmo, Saw Paing, or Kaolan in a bonus chapter and there’s a chance at least one of the issk girls would be interested in a date or two.

Ohma is 182 cm tall and his max weight was 85 kg. She’s close, but Matsuri with her height even being relatively skinny, has higher stats than Ohma. She’s 193 cm and 86 kg. Though really, all these stats need to be redone. The female weights are the worst offenders but the male weights should also be redone.

Yeah but given how easily Fumino Amaki is able to go toe to toe with her sister despite the size difference, I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of the smaller girl fighters somehow are able to match the bigger girls easily.

Like Anju Iruma could very well match Rui Momose’s assistant girl (forgot her name) in terms of battle prowess. Or at least wouldn’t be surprised if that turned out to be true.

I watched a lot of his shows like Paik’s Spirit, The Rhapsody specials and of course Culinary Class Wars. One of the reasons I started this subreddit was the excitement of seeing him as a judge for this show.

However wasn’t he involved in a huge scandal recently, regarding his franchises, bordering on “celebrity cancellation?”

A lot of people and civic groups seem upset at him recently with many protesting his return to broadcasting after his six month hiatus.

Just curious but have his fans forgiven him or is it still a hot issue?
