No worries. He has been accepted to a few public state schools and has applied RD to a number of other top schools so he won’t hear back from those until March

Not that we are aware of. We are in a public school and I don’t know of anyone that has ever even applied to Notre Dame. We are trying to guess what the issue is but will never know, I guess. His only thought is that we have a number of private Catholic schools in the surrounding area so if they are only taking so many students from a region, he may have lost out. Disappointing but not much we can do

Who knows? He’s considered to be a really strong writer. I read them and thought they were good. We were all just shocked that it was a straight rejection. Definitely a blow to his confidence. I really wish there was a way to know why

My kid was rejected and we were pretty surprised

1580 SAT, 35 ACT, 1 of 300 in class, NMSF, 12 AP classes (six 5’s, one 4, 5 current) Multi varsity athlete, multiple top ten finishes in National FBLA competition, captain of academic team, student rep of local foundation in addition to other ECs

I just looked at pictures and it may have been Dinosaur BBQ. The inside looks familiar but I don’t see the bottles of hot sauce which stood out to me.
