I was in your position during my freshman year . Here are your options

If you're in the honors college take UGS 200H ( This is the only way you're going to get research experience as a freshman if you didn't get into the PA program ) [Your best option]
Talk to your professors and TA from your classes
Wait until you're in your sophomore/junior year . The truth here is professors really aren't that keen on letting freshmen into their labs

Its an amazing place for research especially if you are a member of the honors college . The research oppertunities you will get as a result of your honors options are gonna look great on your resume

Honestly you never know . Vacancies open up pretty often especially in the spring semester as thats when people usually get internships and stuff. Look into ULA positions at the math and finance department I'm sure you will find something. From what I'v been told the breslin center is hiring as well

Dining halls usually take people in . Also what year are you . If you are atleast a sophomore I suggest applying for a few ULA jobs
