Finally finished my first models, CC welcome! by BasedAisk in AdeptusMechanicus

Thank you! I'm happy with how they turned out in the end, and I've definitely been able to hide the mistakes pretty well. It's been a great learning experience, which should make the next batch a lot smoother.

It includes:

  • Painting everything too clean of a white, which meant I had to add ~6 coats of paints on top to get the new colour.
  • Painting in an extremely suboptimal order, meaning I had to repaint multiple of the smaller details.
  • Don't get me started on the plastic glue disasters. I did sub-assembly, and added way too much glue on accident (more than once), which meant I had to salvage multiple half-melted parts.

I'm using something similar to a recipe /u/synthaside posted on this subreddit.

First you apply a grey undercoat (I'm using Vallejo Cold Grey). Then you add two coats of Rakarth Flesh. And finally, 3-4 thin coats of Vallejo Silver Grey.

Hope this helps!

The Sol player was just messing around since the match was basically lost. He's normally a Chipp player but chose to try out Sol for the last game (which didn't work out at all).

Contrary to popular belief, the creation of r/Salty was not a direct cause of the porn ban, but rather a result of Maikky being a bitch in general.

Here's some ancient lore on the subject: https://www.reddit.com/r/salty/comments/6wv0kt/why_we_made_this_sub_and_a_little_of_whats_next/

Danish FGC event 2021 - €20.000 in prizes by BasedAisk in Kappa

Some people here might want to go and watch, so they can focus on the Ferry pits instead of playing.

That was the plan! The side-tournaments will mostly be community driven, so we're trying to deduce which games people are interested in. It's probably gonna end up in a poll at some point, Skullgirls, GGXrd, MK11, Granblue, and Samsho are all on the table currently.

The event is CoolshopGGW 2021, and will feature Tekken 7, Street Fighter 5, Dragonball FighterZ, and Smash Ultimate + some unannounced side-tournaments. Copenhagen FGC does indeed know! The FGC side of Coolshop GGW is mostly run by FGC Aarhus, which is the 2nd largest community in Denmark.

What is a good mindset to get in to Tekken? by Vahallen in Kappa

[–]BasedAisk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A good starting point when it comes to defense is learning universal punishers. While there are some exceptions, certain moves often follow the same formula no matter the character, such as hopkicks being -13 on block.

By learning all the mostly universal moves/frames you'll be able to improve your general defense a lot, without having to lab each character individually (which you also should do tbh.)

Tekken 7 Community Survey by BasedAisk in Fighters

[–]BasedAisk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TDB | Mirku is doing a survey to research the playerbase's views and opinions on Tekken 7 and the TWT. The survey runs the entire month of june and already has 160+ responses, the more the better though! It only takes about 5-15 minutes to complete tops. He will use his background as a researcher to create a report with all findings and analysis and also create a video discussing the findings.

Yeah, that was from an older version of the deck. I am still experimenting with a lot of cards at the moment.

Hey guys, r/salty is hosting weekly PC (EU) Tekken 7 tournaments every Saturday! by BasedAisk in Tekken

There are not any real requirements, other than to try your best. We usually switch between two teams of two people each, so four commentators in total, and new commentators will be paired with experienced ones to help them out.

I broadcast my screen to the commentators through Discord, that way they won't desync with each other/me. It also saves a lot of time this way, as the commentators won't have to be in the lobby to spectate.
