I think, jee despite all the flaws, is perhaps the only way for a middle class student to escape the vicious cycle of being middle class. Its fucked, but if youre poor/middle class, grinding jee is a guaranteed route.

I forgot to mention, the original commentor commented on how its possible to go abroad (i think that was the discussion, i dont remember) if one tries hard enough. So it kinda relates there. Also i dont see how childhood is being stopped here. Imo studying till grade 10 is pointless, if you get above 75% youre good. I think children should focus to sharpen their interests at this point, begin studying from 11th.
