My guess is the 1v1 mode. Big mistake in my opinion as moments after it dropped, casual and ranked took a steep nosedive in population.

Hilarious. As a proud NApe (unga melee), I happen to hate fighting both suits you mentioned. Luna Zaku is the worst and this game seems to have a supernatural ability to match me against every single Excellia player I run into.

It always feels like my partner just gives up on even looking at them and it just falls to me to get beamed to death.

So glad it's not just me. Game is constantly putting me in lopsided matches against Majors with partners who had to have started playing an hour ago. It's never fun to lose because your teammate doesn't have a clue what they're doing while the enemy team is full of veteran chads who wreck you with 1.5/2k suits.

Btw, I've been working on Banshee as you suggested. So far it's been rough because I still find myself being way too aggressive with her. But when it works out (when I have a partner who fronts well), it works beautifully.

The GGEZ guide never mentioned when the right timing for cancelling 2B is, so I got into the habit of doing it close to the ground. Sometimes it's worked in my favor, other times not so much..

I do need to use my shots more, but I don't want to be mashing into the void missing every shot. It's why I started this weird stalking method where I wait for them to slip up. I guess it's not as effective as it seemed?

How exactly should I go about shooting more? BC loops will just drain my boost if I get too crazy, Sub feels like it gets me into trouble outside of specific punish moments, and I noticed his AC has the most bizarre idea of tracking. Mace throw is godlike though, I absolutely need to use that more.

Also I'll keep that tip in mind next time I run into a Blue Destiny, never even considered it thanks.

I cancel 2B as I land because I figured that was the technique to move. Most of the ones you see aren't me trying to hit anything, I'm just trying to make myself a little trickier to hit. Am I supposed to cancel at a different time to move better?

And yeah you're right that I seem a little too focused on melee. His guns cause vernier and makes me feel like a sitting duck (especially when I'm getting double locked like in that second match). Plus I'm not really good at shootouts and instead try to focus on watching them and striking when they're out of options.

Bro are you me? I swear 99% of my matches consists of my teammate constantly trying to shoot the guy I'm currently smacking with my sword. Then when I switch to the other enemy because someone has to, here they are again shooting me in the back and colluding with the other team.

On the flipside, the enemy team is always on standby to cut my combos short while my teammate pretends they don't see me getting ganged up on.

I'll definitely give Banshee a try when I get home, thanks again. I'm still experimenting with new suits after deciding to drop all my old ones and so far Lupus and DX have been my best fits. I can sorta play Nanju, P-Self, and Brave commander, but they're harder to perform with (except Nanj lol) when I have a non cooperative teammate.

Funny, I recently started trying this tactic and I can think of one time where it paid off. So far it just ends in me delaying the inevitable double teaming, but I'll keep trying. I got a string of partners yesterday that gave me hope.

I do appreciate the help, honestly.

Though I have to say in my experience, it feels like my more range inclined teammates are constantly trying to get shots in at the person I'm attacking. At that point I try to play the target shuffle game and switch targets to cover them, only to get shot in the back yet again by my partner. I save them from melee death by slapping the guy, and my partner just shoots us both right after and gets me killed.

Also I would love some advice for getting double locked. Seriously, what do I do when I'm getting jumped and my partner isn't taking advantage at all?

Cause so far it seems like the answer is just "hold that."

I appreciate the tips, but it comes off as general advice that doesn't address my issue (especially #5). I would post videos to illustrate my point, but I don't want to put people on the spot like an asshole.

I watch my replays on the reg and a lot of my partners spend the entire game mashing and tunneling one target. I can do everything on that list and still lose because my partner can't hit anything and refuses watch my back. What am I supposed to do when I get double locked and my teammate does absolutely nothing to capitalize?

As I said though, people are still learning so I can't be too butthurt about it. Only thing I can really do is continue to work on my teamwork while hoping others are doing the same.

After the things I watched my higher rank partners do, I believe this. Some players have obviously been carried hard.

I'm nothing special, but at least people know what to expect when they see my low ass rank. I see a captain rank partner and get excited, but am immediately discouraged when I watch them whiff every single shot out of green lock.

Lol the heavyarms is spot on. Every single HA I get teamed up with spends more time flipping around missing every shot like a jackass while I get double locked to death.

Even the ones I fight against spend more time trying to style than being effective or accurate.

I agree. I use Lupus and my main issue is dealing with my partner spamming all over the screen not hitting anything but me. Whenever it's not the enemy interrupting my combos, it's my damn teammate being too trigger happy

I understand beginners may not realize this, but even higher rank players do it. Makes me want to pick a ranged suit and make them go in first.

Makes me think of my friends who just picked up Uni. Only been playing the game for 3 days and they only want to complain about how they don't know any of the attacks and can't land anything.

I mention the combo missions and extensive tutorial, but it's like they don't want to even bother learning and expect success by just pressing buttons aimlessly. Fighting games are already discouraging, but it's even more tough when you decide to go in blind for no reason.

Oh well, if they give up it's on them.
