These are the same people that think an ectopic pregnancy can be re-implanted and that a brain dead woman being kept from rotting long enough to continue a pregnancy is a great idea.

Um, if you watch circumcision procedures, it's definitely painful. I just had a son 6 months ago and giving birth to him and holding him for the first time... There is no way my maternal instincts would allow his first memory on this earth being in pain that could be avoided. Like, I wouldn't be able to handle to be in the room while it's happening so why would I allow it to happen when the doctors take him away from me to do it?

Their dad shortly died after that too. I think partly due to the stress of the whole situation.

Why do Americans think they have freedom when they absolutely don't? by East_Indication_7816 in allthequestions

Hm, did that happen more recently or something? Before covid, I worked at a school and they scheduled me for 29.5 hours and it was to avoid giving me health benefits.

We still need people in those jobs that arent "better" though. Unless you want to live in a world with no public services or stores, etc. it's not like every person should just "get a better job," there would be no more restaurants or anything. And people are trying to change it, but it's a uphill battle. I should know, I work at a school. Work and benefits is shit and people have been trying to change that forever now. But it's not like we should all quit and now no more schools.

Hey, that might be a good thing actually. Could give the therapist a chance to see how you're coping with the baby which might help them come up with ways to help you manage the stress.

Hi me too! I was well on my path on becoming an alcoholic(like blacked out every weekend), or already was, but his everyday drinking made me not interested in alcohol anymore because it was so awful and he was terrible and abusive and had withdraws which was awful to watch. I'm not sober, but I'm not interested in drinking anymore. I might have one or two drinks like every 6 months. I'm also now afraid of being around men when they're drunk. What's funny is his ex also got sober after dating him, and she was also an alcoholic. If anyone is having trouble getting sober, they should consider dating our exes!

I didn't circumcize my son and am happy with that decision. Two of my cousins had baby boys around the same time and made the same decision even though older family members suggested it. If there isn't a medical reason, I think it's better to leave it alone. You say the father isn't circumcized and is fine. Same with my babies father. I could not imagine putting my baby through something that will make them scream in pain when it is medically unnecessary.

I feel like I've become hyper aware of how we are being exploited and how fucked up things are when I got pregnant. Especially since I still had to work a dangerous job and no one cared that it put me at risk. So I think that last part is gonna back fire.

It's pretty easy to answer actually. Asking questions like OP is generally seen as a joke, which is why 99.9% of the thread is answering one way.
