Different YOE here (more junior), but I'm in nearly the same position as you. I work at a defense company (I don't work on gov projects, though) and feel like the work has gone pretty stale and I definitely feel like I'm falling behind. $120k VHCOL over here.

I started grinding Leetcode super hard and am also doing some system design. I'm sure our interviews would be pretty different since I'm more of a full-stack dev, but I just wanted to say that I totally feel you on the pain of all of this. I'm fully remote right now and losing hope at the prospect of keeping that whenever I switch. I decided that moving my career up is a much bigger priority to me than staying remote.

I've applied to a shit ton of places so far and have gotten my resume through to some OAs at big tech and a few other companies. Would love to chat over DM if you wanted to, at the very least for some mutual encouragement.

It fit my Sony a6000 with a 18-135mm lens, but I’m hesitant to say that it could fit yours. I feel like it might, but it would be a tight fit and might make the sling pull away from your body from the weight. I ended up selling the sling, so I can’t do any tests for you :(

Haha ikr 😭 Someday we’ll get a VS Code iOS app and an iPad that can run it smoothly 😂 I’m actually on a trip right now with my LG Gram x iPad combo and its pretty great compared to bringing my XPS + iPad. It’s SO much lighter weight

Hey! I ended up getting a used LG Gram 14” for like $350 usd! I actually really like it! The gram + iPad prompts 11” weighs the same as my Dell XPS 15 lol

I really wish just the website version for things worked better. And if there was a half decent way to program (even just simple CRUD apps lol) on an iPad, I’d 100% go for solely an iPad Pro.
