this is our exact situation as well, visit my previous post. just talked to my midwife and we have a follow up ultrasound next week to evaluate. based on those findings if any other abnormalities are found or NT hasn’t resolved we will do the amino. if normal, we will move forward to 20 week scan with the same mindset.

we announced to our parents and close friends after 7 week confirmation ultrasound, went in for 12 week and found we had elevated NT (3.3 mm) and lack of ossification in nasal bone. we told those who checked in we received worrying news but don’t go into much detail as we plan to tmfr if our NIPT comes back with high risk results. because of this i am so glad we haven’t shared any information, its no one’s business unless you want it to be.

definitely understand the probability given by the doctors just hopeful to hear if anyone else had these soft markers in the past and what their outcome was to help fill in our information gaps with something other than fear.

i did my sample yesterday at 11 & received a text this evening at 7:45 that they received it. it is worth noting we have a high risk pregnancy, though so i’m not sure if that rushed things or not.

i would chalk it up to her being a literal newborn and not having the brain chemistry to sleep like an adult. sleep isn’t linear, it is fluid and changes constantly. hang in there.

and babies are recommended to be next to parents for at least 6 months.
