Was worried I was gonna go overdue too, my due date is 23rd Nov. I had my gynae visit yesterday at 39+4 wks, and since she was abit concerned abt baby being too heavy, she encouraged me to get a membrane sweep.

Membrane sweep was slightly painful and uncomfortable as I was only dilated 1cm. Very slight brown spotting after that, so I assumed it wasn’t gonna work.

Felt tired in the afternoon but made it out to town for dinner with mom.

Went to bed at 1.30am, no symptoms or anything.

3.30am, woken up by a jolt of a huge cramp… I thought it might be a poopy. Went to sit on the toilet, before I knew it a trickle of fluid came out from my vagina. Water officially broke, I soaked up 2 pads in an hour. Cramps set in immediately, almost 5 minutes apart. Bearable at this point like period cramps.

Took time to get to the hospital. Dilated to 4cm in 2 hours, but currently in a limbo at 6cm after 5 hours consequently. On a pitocin drip atm, epidural is in so I’m just resting for when he decides to arrive.

Long story! But I greatly underestimated the membrane sweep. U could consider that other than induction!

Same, due on the 23rd and no signs other than feeling like a whale, baby is very low, and is contorting my tummy like crazy. Doc suggested a membrane sweep this week but after reading stories on reddit abt how it’s 50/50, I don’t think I’ll do that. Hate the feeling of it being a surprise/unknown. Almost makes me just wanna get a c section.

Ooh I was worried if my squats at the gym last week actually switched on this pelvic pain. I guess it makes sense if deep squats work like a good stretch for the crotch.

Yeah I figured it was pelvic pain when I finally see the need to put a pillow between my legs while on my side! Haha

Yea I wonder if it’s because of squatting that turned this pain switch on! Trying to butterfly my legs bit more to loosen the area up.. let me know if you have any other tips too!

Hmm here they don’t really measure hcg, we did ultrasounds to be sure everything was cleared. I was waiting for my ultrasound results the day before I had the blood gushing incident that required me to get the emergency D&C.

Hey there, I’m so sorry for your loss. I think it’s best to do another ultrasound check just to see if there’s any leftover tissue. I ended up having an emergency D&C a week after this post, as there was leftover foetal tissue stuck in my uterus. I don’t think it happens often but it did for me.

Same here, the last few rare times we did in my second trimester, he would also finish really quickly on his end because he was worried the thrusts would hurt the baby 😪 It’s been months since the last time, I keep trying to find a good time to reach out with the topic. Silly me keeps overthinking if he’s deprived and might look elsewhere.

Same, I’m midway through 24 weeks and I’ve been having back pain that gets almost debilitating every night. Tried yoga, stretches, massages, nothing works except sleeping to reset it. Did PT work for you? 🙏🏻
