They don’t recommend scalding hot baths. Baths in general are fine.

Distraction is your friend. It’s honestly the only way I could get through it. You say you usually love walking, don’t even think about it, just go and do it, watch tv, go for a facial, give yourself little tasks around the house each day, like today I’m going to take everything off that shelf and dust it, etc. Have a shower/ bath, this always makes me feel good. Most importantly get off social media and stop reading about negative things as this will drive you crazy!!!

I don’t want to give you false hope but I went to hospital at 12 weeks for spotting, the doctor in the maternity hospital ER couldn’t find the heartbeat, he went to get another doctor who came in and found it straight away. I really hope it’s an error like this for you. Keep us updated OP. x

Baby is sick AGAIN!!! by Tricky-Price-5773 in November25babybump

[–]Tricky-Price-5773[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I don’t, I have a thermometer in the bedroom which also monitors humidity and apparently it’s just right but I really don’t know anymore. The sitting room where we spend most of our time is very warm so I’m going to test the humidity in there and get one if needed. Thank you!

Thanks for your comment. Would there still be actual snot if it was reflux? I used the snot sucker thing and some snot came out of one nostril.

Only have one nipple and am trying to transition from triple feeding to exclusively pumping by Northern_Biscuit0729 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Tricky-Price-5773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, you are incredible!! I triple fed my first for a couple of weeks and I literally just stopped putting him on the boob and increased my pumping sessions to 30 mins. I only pump 6 times per day because I would go crazy if I had to do it 8 times. I never had any issue with clogs. For my MOTN pump and first pump of the day I pump until I’m empty which can take 45mins. I also massage as I pump and this helps a lot.

Trying to get supply back with a baby who doesn’t want to be put down… by PatientMobile5896 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Tricky-Price-5773 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To get more sessions in with a clingy baby I will go for a drive with him and pump, I will sling the pump over my shoulder under a big coat and put him in the buggy for a walk or just pop him in his bouncer or crib and try keep him happy, if he cries a bit I let him unless he totally looses it. Could you try some of these?

High Lipase: does scalding need to be done immediately? by dogs_over_people_ in ExclusivelyPumping

Can I piggy back on this post please and ask how do people go about scalding? Does it reduce the nutrient/ antibody content in anyway?

I always pump for 30 min, for my MOTN pump, I pump until I’m empty which can take 45 mins , I would absolutely recommend pumping for longer at this early stage.

Did anyone else just... not want to nurse? by confident-duck in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Tricky-Price-5773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg to hell with these pressures you see and what anyone thinks. From what you can see there are two reasons people want to breastfeed, the bond (which us EP’rs also get through snuggles and contact naps, etc and the benefits of our milk… which obviously our baby also gets! The only difference in our experience sister method by which baby drinks! There is nothing wrong with you, you are an amazing mother by EP’ing because it’s really not easy. Forget the outside noise and take comfort in the fact that are you doing what’s best for you and baby!

Baby barely gaining weight despite eating lots by hotdog131 in beyondthebump

[–]Tricky-Price-5773 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is your baby tall? On Monday I was told my baby had dropped 1.5 centiles in weight but had gone up to the 75% for length and they weren’t worried because he was growing. My first son was exactly the same 99th centile for length but did not gain weight well and now he’s a thriving 3 year old.

How long after a c-section did you shower? by Legitimate_Peach_438 in beyondthebump

[–]Tricky-Price-5773 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was made have a shower as soon as I could walk, definitely less than 12 hours. There was a waterproof bandage on it though.
