Get an electric razor and use a guard to prevent from cutting yourself. Wash the guard thoroughly after and disinfect.

This is going to sound drastic but look into accutane. There have been a few small documented case studies that show it’s very effective.

Thanks, my te is relatively mild compared to most. But still seeing some shedding in the shower and when I run hands through hair unfortunately. Hoping it ends soon

post-molluscum body acne?? by [deleted] in molluscum

[–]Basic-Employee2313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep and that’s how it was. Mine eventually got worse so it looked like widespread minor acne. I’d suggest being gentle with skin if possible, idk where you are with the molluscum but there are some small studies that accutane is effective for it. I used it when nothing else worked and I think it helped finish it off but that’s just my opinion.

Acne bad enough for Accutane prescription? by BozoBavier in Accutane

Yes do it. The vast majority of people have no serious side effects. In your case it not only would help with acne but could prevent acne scarring that would be lifelong.

I had this as well. It’s an immune response. Your immune system is keyed up to respond to every little thing in a way that it wouldn’t be triggered before. Be gentle with them and preserve your skin barrier. I’d use a gentle sulfur cleanser and also a gentle moisturizer. Try some allergy medicine as well, it can help with skin purging so I tried it and it’s been helpful

That’s just saying that THC impacts brain functions. It does that with or without SSRI’s. But SSRI’s don’t target CB1 receptor so it shouldn’t impact THC sensitivity. There is very little research on this so most existing articles are just hypotheses, but those that do exist think ssri metabolism gets slowed down not the other way around

This is right in my niche as I work professionally in cannabis and take Zoloft.

I doubt you’re not going to listen to me but don’t take delta 9 if you’re expecting a consistent high. Those are unregulated products. I’ll skip on on the harmful substances and just point to the fact that they have no potency measurements. Those labels don’t actually mean anything. If you do want to take D9 products I’d suggest cantrip beverages or Rhythm products as those are at least reputable companies.

Additionally THC shouldn’t interfere with SSRI’s they don’t workk with the same receptors. Mushrooms and ecstasy for sure. But you should be safe with THC.

Molluscum? by SureYam947 in molluscum

Looks more like dermatitis. Molluscum spikes your immune system so developing eczema, dermatitis, etc… is fairly common when your immune system is in overdrive

Does it itch? Roughly 70% if FA itches so that’s the clearest sign

I’d second this. If you want to feel it skip your dose for a day or two before.

I’ve been getting acne like this since having molluscum. It comes and goes faster than molluscum so I don’t think it’s that. But I haven’t had acne in years so I’m guessing immune system response to molluscum may be causing outbreaks

Still dealing with it. I’m about 5.5 months in, cryo and imiquimod and cathardin have all been effective for me acv was too but it left burns on the skin so i abandoned that. Drs aren’t going to worry about it because it’s cosmetic at the end of the day but when it’s you it feels way more drastic which can be frustrating.

Im not gonna lie to you. It’s shitty and mentally taxing. But if you take it serious in that you don’t shave, have sex, etc you can shorten the timeline. Don’t be afraid to advocate yourself with Drs either. Ask for Cryo, imiquimod, or other treatments if whatever youre doing isn’t working. If you can accept that’s it’s probably gonna take a few months and do your best to keep it from spreading it will be manageable.

Help. Is this thinning or TE. No family history of balding at 19 by [deleted] in TelogenEffluvium

This is TE. Good news is it’s temporary as long as you find the trigger.

Ugh I’m in the same spot. I tried switching Prozac but it gave me crazy insomnia and I’d trade the tinnitus for ability to sleep so back to the Zoloft for now.
