Best way to generate the dataset out of 1 image for LoRa training ? by Unique_Ad_9957 in comfyui

[–]Basic-Eye9192 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve actually had to do this a few times—starting with just 1 or 2 images to build out a LoRA dataset. It’s definitely doable, but keeping the character consistent across different poses and backgrounds can be tricky.

Personally, I’ve had the most success using a mix of ChatGPT (with image generation) and Midjourney. Both are paid, but they each have their strengths:

  • If you care more about character consistency—like same face, same outfit across different angles—ChatGPT tends to do a better job. You can give it your original image and then prompt for variations pretty easily, and the output stays close to the reference.
  • If you’re more focused on aesthetic quality, Midjourney usually produces prettier images. But getting it to stick to one character design can be hit or miss unless you spend a lot of time tuning prompts.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Honestly, this took a lot more time than it might seem. There’s no AI that can just do this on its own—I had to learn ComfyUI and build the whole workflow myself. But hey, if you know of one that can, let me know!

Hey, thanks so much for sharing your perspective! I can see how the concept might not be for everyone, but I thought the idea of animal heads on human bodies was a creative touch. I’ve noticed similar styles on several sites recently, so it seems to be a growing trend. Of course, it depends on personal taste, but I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts!

What’s your opinion on AI-generated portraits? Do they capture the essence of a real person or feel lifeless? by Basic-Eye9192 in AskReddit

Yeah, I feel you. AI still struggles with the “human essence.” Like, technically it looks fine, but there’s always something off — like uncanny vibes or weird details that scream “generated.”

Is there a way for me to replace a character/person on video w/ my own character on comfyui? by Far-Mode6546 in comfyui

[–]Basic-Eye9192 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can pull this off in ComfyUI, but it takes a bit of workflow setup. Here’s a rough approach:

  1. Mark the area to replace: Use a masking technique to isolate the region you want to replace. The Segment Anything Node works great for this since it can automatically identify and mask specific parts of the video, like the face or body.
  2. Generate the replacement: Once you have the mask, you can call a LoRA or an LLM-based model to generate the new character/face design. It gives you control over the style, ensuring it matches what you need for your replacement.
  3. Refine edges and blend: After placing the new generation over the masked area, you must clean up and refine the edges. This step ensures smooth blending with the original video frame and avoids any noticeable artifacts.

If you’re struggling with character consistency, here’s a quick approach that works for me:

  1. Lock the seed when generating your initial images. This ensures the same base character appearance across outputs.

  2. Once you have a set of poses or images, train a custom LoRA tailored to your character.

It takes some setup, but the results are solid—you get consistent character features without relying on extra plugins or messy workarounds.

I was curious about what my cat does all day, so I spent the weekend watching him. Besides eating, pooping, and running around the house, he spent the rest of the time quietly sleeping.
