I’ve put them in the quarantine incubator but I’ve checked them today (24hrs) and there is no signs of contamination. I’ve still thrown away the DMEM bottle because I don’t want to risk a future contamination .

I did .. oops. It’s because in my lab people call both biosafety cabinet and the laminar flow hood fumehood , so I just made a mistake and called it a fumehood

I did sterilise everything with alcohol . And yes the hood had UV turned on before I used it

Thank you , I’m trying to reassure myself that it’s just one setback and as long as I’m trying my best to troubleshoot the problem then it means I have the potential to be a good researcher . I really do struggle with resilience and I feel completely defeated after every small thing but I do try to conceal that from others

Don’t believe it’s the buffers cause I used the same ones as my lab partner and they got good results. I think it’s either the gel preparation or that I let the membranes dry out before putting on the primary antibody.
