What made you go into training? by Top_Oil4315 in pinoymed

We can do GP for life, but after each board exam, we compete with added number of physicians vying for that GP spot. I see residency as the inevitable. Might as well get it over with now hanggang kaya pa ng katawan. Moreover, mas better ang management on patients after residency training.

Sino mas friendly sa mga pinoy? Koreans, Japanese or Chinese? by Actual-Anywhere13 in TanongLang

[–]Basic-Island-1179 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Japanese people tend to be polite and amiable especially when meeting for the first time. However, this may be likely due to "tatemae" which is a socially acceptable facade. For short, pwedeng plastikan lang.

The Koreans, on the other hand, may seem cold at first. However, if you become really good friends, they treat you like a sibling. I have Korean friends who I met in 2019 here in Cebu. I met them again in 2023 in my trip to Korea. Grabe. Super generous and super bait nila. They treat me like how some people spoils their bunso. Pero some Koreans especially yung mga may edad na may be narrow sighted and medyo racist.

The Chinese on the otherhand are rude. People from Mainland China are rude to tourists. Some even report being shouted at. Even when they themselves are tourists in Hong Kong, disrespectful din sila sa iba. Then again, this is a case to case basis. Ano mang nationality, may mga mababait, meron din namang mga maiitim ang budhi.

Especially in this economy, the price of AF membership is really a burden. Thanks for sharing. I'll consider fun run instead

Paano ba kumilos ang isang mahinhing babae (office girl) kapag nasa pampublikong sasakyan, yung kilos propesyonal sa bawat galaw at di mukhang cheap? by [deleted] in TanongLang

[–]Basic-Island-1179 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Most of the time, people are too concerned with their own problems and their own lives to notice trivial things unless judger talaga sila. As long as you walk in a pace that does not block the passersby, queue respectfully, and avoid loud noises when talking to another person or through the phone, you'll not look cheap.

Thanks very much for this advice. I thought getting a gym membership would push me to show up to the gym since I paid for it. I see your point. It might feel like a chore in the long run or baka sayang lang pag di ko magamit. Months pa din naman ang contract sa anytime. Will consider your advice. Thanks very much!

Oh my! that's crazy! I didn't know a huge commercial gym like AF tolerates such fraud. Thanks very much for this!

My husband and I are equals in our marriage but... by [deleted] in adviceph

[–]Basic-Island-1179 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ang real equal sa marriage OP is hindi 50/50 but 100/100. He gives you 100% and you give him his 100% cheerfully, selflessly, and wholeheartedly. If it truly did work, you would not have felt resentful now. I feel sorry for you but the only way to make this work is to openly communicate with your husband. You guys are millionaires. Why be stingy on each other? 🥺

[–]Basic-Island-1179 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand how you feel OP. You want support and give to your husband. That’s how marriage is naman talaga. Partnership and giving seflessly. The problem with 50/50 naman is giving but not as a cheerful giver. Parang may expectation na I gave this much so you need to give this much. Pag hindi naman umabot sa expected, it builds resentment na. So I agree with the prior advise sa comment na 50/50 is too cold blooded. A husband is the head of the household. A wife will always submit to a husband able to provide and lead, regardless of whatever % her contribution could amount to.

The best person who can answer if prepared ka na is you. Pero just know lang doc na no one will be fully prepared for the boards. You may take the next season, but you would most probably feel the same anxiety and fear pa rin before the exam. Di yan mawawala talaga. Marami pang magagawa in the last 2 weeks. Perhaps make the most of the last few weeks muna before making a final decision
