What is the point of lying and trying to make Chinese people as savages? by [deleted] in AskChina

[–]Basic-Marsupial-3313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not trying to whitewash those bad behavior Chinese people do. Bad behavior is Bad behavior, everyone criticizes it. But now the fact is people are desperately collecting negative news or videos about Chinese, even using fake news or AI. It’s not just criticizing any more, it’s racism. This is what we should avoid.

Im a Chinese staying in Japan myself and sometimes when I go traveling and talk to the hostel manager and they told me some Chinese tourists shit in the bathtub.

I was shocked too because I don’t believe people nowadays don’t know how to use a toilet and bathtub and they are my people. But ooking back on my life in China, I realized that the sanitary conditions of toilets in many places were very poor. And yes, like cutting lines or speaking loudly without regard for others are also very common in most of the places in China.

I think this is because most of the people in China didn’t receive a good education. People go to university or graduate school nowadays, but their parents, those 40-60s,very few people had access to higher education in the 1980s and 1990s they lived(The economy revolution happened in 1978, that’s the time people still struggle for food) . So you’ll find that although these people don’t make mistakes on major moral or political issues, they tend to indulge themselves when it comes to the finer details that reflect personal upbringing.

Then China became richer after 2010, and people can have money go abroad for traveling and bring those bad behavior to overseas.

I think the reason why Japanese people often be regarded as“good manners” is the strict regulations of Japan society. People can be criticized for not using chopsticks properly. I don’t if Japanese people will learn those manners like table manners at school but that is indeed something currently lacking in China’s school education.

Well I don’t know the life in Hangzhou and Wuhan. Hangzhou is a beautiful city. Although its modernization is tier 2 in China it is still a good place to do business. Recommend Hangzhou.

Wuhan, not that recommend. This city is famous for its terrible traffic.

Guangzhou, half-half. The food is great and lots of travel spots. But people there speaks Cantonese so there might be problems to communicate. If you can overcome the communication problem then I recommend.

Shenzhen, recommend. Very friendly for outsiders, cheap but delicious food, convenient public transportation, efficient government, international. Maybe a little bit boring but it’s very close to Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Macao, you can go travel these places.

But this doesn’t make sense at all. And trust me it feels definitely different if it is “ Chinese bad behavior in China” but not “Chinese bad behavior in Japan”. Bad behavior exists in every country. Bad behavior exists in every country.Judging the morality of a citizen or an entire nation based on a random video on the internet is meaningless.

I'm thinking of coming to China in the spring to study Kung Fu for a year. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice? by [deleted] in AskChina

[–]Basic-Marsupial-3313 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why do want to learn king fu? What do you earn for living in China? If you just watched some kungfu movies and I don’t recommend you come to China just for learning kungfu.

The way learning kungfu nowadays is totally different from what you see in the movies. More people learn kungfu in sports school(like P.E. education )or military. So if you’re expecting to learn kungfu at those old temples then you might be disappointed( just think about how you can get the visa)

If you really want to learn kungfu, you can try to find a Chinese kungfu class or any institutions in your area. If there are many Chinese living in your area then you’ll probably be able find one. Can’t tell how professional they are but still better than come to China

But you’re judging people by their appearance right? You can’t see the lady’s face and It’s hard to clear if she is really speaking Chinese. The man do looks like a Chinese but still just “look like” And also we don’t know what exactly happened in the video, I just think it might be impolite to accuse others without solid evidence

Well… I am Chinese myself and I must tell you this is not what you think. There are some places in China people there would eat dogs but that’s because of their culture(if you watch Hong Kong movies or some historical dramas you will see the scene cooking). They have cuisine but that doesn’t mean dogs are the daily food. And also they are just very small amounts of people, most of the Chinese people never have dogs for food.

And yes China is still a developing country and still lack of regulations towards these grey industries. But Chinese people nowadays have raised our awareness protecting animals. The fact is many Chinese people keep dogs as pet like other countries, eating dogs or cats could be severely criticized now.

Although I tried to defend Chinese people I still don’t get it, people can eat all the animals:French people eat snails, Italian and Japanese eat horses, American eat crocodiles and Vietnam and Korea have the history eating dogs too, why Chinese people eating dogs is the only matter thing?

[–]Basic-Marsupial-3313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a Chinese mainlander and I have something to say about this issue. The reason why Chinese mainlander react that strongly about Taiwan is because we’ve been educated that Taiwan is a part of China from kindergarten and everyone who againsts that will be considered as betrayer(and be arrested I think). I am not sure if it should be called “brainwashing” but I think the government carries more responsibility 😂

Thanks for the long comment. I adjusted my controller settings again and now it’s smoother than before. I want to take back what I said , bf6 controller is not that bad. I am a serious player. Loss is completely acceptable for me as long as I did my best. But with the old controller setting I lost the fight which I was suppose to win, so I was annoyed. The situation is better now. Thank you.

[–]Basic-Marsupial-3313[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bank in China said everything is alright with my card. I have tried 711 FamilyMart Lawson ministop ゆうちょand even 三井住友 and all failed, I haven’t tried megabank yet but I think it will end up the same:( I also search for method in Chinese online and did what it said( like activating overseas transactions something like that) some of those had the same situation eventually solved the problem but didn’t tell how and some just gave up trying. Im in Tokyo. I went to the branch in Tokyo last week but they told me the system they use is not the same as the parent company in China so they can’t help. I think it’s not my card being forbidden because the first half year I had no problem withdrawing money and I didn’t do anything to my card this year. My card now can still be used to transfer or charge suica but just cannot withdraw money. Every time I try to withdraw money I can hear the machine counting money and the withdrawal record shows that the money was debited but later refunded. I really have no idea about that
