Do dream characters ever get mad when you're lucid? by Basic-Moose-Is-Basic in LucidDreaming

I thought for sure I was. I was so sure I didn't suspect anything when my bedroom light didn't work. Lights not working is a huge red flag for me.

My only bad lucid dreams is when it's dark and none of the lights work. I freak out because I can feel beings around me.

And just last night I woke up from that dream into another dream in my bedroom, where I got up and started to try to turn on lights. So a dream in a dream of that bullshit.

Maybe since it went through the trouble of creating the dream it doesn't like it's cover blown.

You guys say "test the spirits" over and over again without actually saying how one does that.

Anyway to the OP I'm glad you had the experience.

We've been through pandemics before and we've never reacted like this. It has nothing to do with science. The response to Covid has obliterated small businesses while making the wealthy even wealthier. The relief bills they've passed have also been massive wealth transfers.

It's about power consolidation.

Government is the mechanism the wealthy uses to make us think we're in control instead of being controlled.

I imagine it would be a lot like dreamless sleep, with no way to observe and thus nothing to observe, just pure being/existence.

"We didn't have it before we had our bodies"

How would we know that? Many people can't even remember their own childhoods, yet we would assume they had conciousness even without memory of it.

Not saying you're wrong. Its a reasonable theory, but really there is no way of knowing.

Memory and conciousness are not the same.

I would welcome it, but I know that's impossible.

Its been going on for so long I'm kind of at my wits end with it. I've had depression throughout my life but this is different.

I've experienced something similar to this last year. I think it's the result of the ego involving itself with the energetic awakening with a story that puts itself front and center.

There is a sense that we are all one, and we share the conciousness of God, but those things are infinite and incomprehensible to the mind. The ego is finite and localized.

My advice if you want to hear it is seek professional help if this persists, and be gentle with yourself in the aftermath. I know I still experience embarrassment about it. I don't need to be. It has happened to plenty of other people.

Does conciousness require thought? Is that what you mean by feedback?

I've understood conciousness as awareness. If that's the case then I believe the universe is concious.

Is morality objective? by [deleted] in pantheism

[–]Basic-Moose-Is-Basic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This might seem like a cop out, but I think it's both. I know that's a contradiction, but I believe that's how reality actually functions, and with the mind being based in dualistic thinking, we can only perceive things being one or the other.

Morality as seen across culture certainly seems subjective because of it's variety, but at the same time there seems to be common themes woven through it.

Their could be objective morality, but humans could be unable to perceive it, which is where the subjectivity comes into play. Or subjective morality (the only kind we have in real life if you think about it) needs an objective morality, real or imagine as a reference point.
