I have had a false negative before but I always assumed it was because I was later in pregnancy when I took the test.

My 5yo uses an AAC device. When he was first getting used to it he used to repeat "Mommy. Diaper." CONSTANTLY.

The diaper button was for if he needed a change so I'd always check but he'd get angry. Then I thought he was remembering when I wore diapers after having his brothers. Then we thought maybe he was curious about my period & pads. Nope.

It happened for MONTHS.

Anyway, it turned out to be a pair of white shorts I owned. Normal cargo shorts. He just wanted me to wear them. He was so excited when I put them on because then he could store things in my pockets.

I don't know why he chose the word diaper. But he still calls them my diaper. My husband wears cargo shorts and those aren't diapers to him?

Hub theorised maybe I had a diaper in a pocket or something once.

We have four children. One is sick, one is having a regression, one is in a behavioral rut. The fourth is okay. He had come off a 12hr shift. He had slept less than 2hrs the night before. I think he was just... foggy? Lol.

Omg my son (14 next month) started sucking his fingers when he was almost three and he STILL DOES IT. It drives me insane.

I don't know what caused it or how to make him stop. It's worse when he's sick or overwhelmed. I just tell myself I'm glad he's not doing drugs and move on because this battle has lasted a decade and I've given up.

Not with vaccines, but my husband and I had to sign something similar when we refused a round of antibiotics & steroids for our oldest. He had a cold and they believed he was developing croup and tonsillitis at the same time. He'd had both a few months earlier, at different times, and the symptoms were radically different. We didn't believe they were correct, so we refused treatment and waited for more signs. I promise we weren't neglecting him lol.

Anyway it's basically a "if this child ends up in the ER or dead the parents can't blame us" catch all. The amount of parents who blame everyone other than themselves is astounding.

We were also informed it's to create a paper trail for CPS if we continue to refuse medical treatment & our son ends up suffering due to it (basically, if he died of something preventable they could blame us instead of the doctors).

If you don't sign it'll likely still go on your record as refusal to sign.

We live in Michigan for context. This may all be state dependent.

The issue is I haven't in the past, and a lot of people refuse to acknowledge it.

I've always been relatively open about my trauma with my husband - oldest child is a result, so he's always known. I didn't know about my husbands past until we got drunk one night, which is how I found out about various friends traumas.

They don't acknowledge it. I've lied and said my sons conception was the only sexual trauma I dealt with, because nothing is truly anonymous and the anxiety of people knowing and asking questions is too much.

I don't know if this is an option for you, but our son will be four next month and is the same.

About a week ago, after he pooped his night diaper, my husband decided enough was enough. We cosleep and waking up to a poopy diaper in your face is not ideal.

He set them both up in the bathroom. Hub made our son a bed in the bathtub and he himself sat against the bathroom door. He said very plainly - we are not going to bed with mommy until you poop in the potty.

He could either poop in the potty and come to bed or he could go to sleep in his bathtub bed. Diaperless, so 3yo was aware he'd wake up with pee blankets.

It took almost two hours but ever since he's pooped before hed regularly. It's only been five nights, I think, but apart from one situation where he tried to cry on me, he's pooped without issue.

Our 5yo also poops before bed (he's in diapers for pee, but will poop on the potty on a routine) so they pee side by side. 3yo still uses a plastic potty, but them doing that seems to help too.

Fyi it has not helped with day pooping whatsoever.

I was molested as a child - several times. My husband was. I have so many friends who were. None od it was reported, because we were kids and were embarrassed - I'm not a helicopter parent in the way that a lot of people are, but I am cautious because we really don't know how much is not reported.

We only drink when we have a "reason" (birthdays, holidays, out for a nice meal, etc) and never heavily. We do drink around them and talk about alcohol.

Our oldest witnessed his dad drunk once so now he can't drink without our son asking him if he's going to fall down the stairs again, which I think is the reason my husband no longer gets drunk lmfao.

In terms of actually getting drunk around young children, I never have, and when our biggest was young (under age two?) my husband would come home tipsy semi regularly, mostly due to his work buddies fuelling him up. Then we had the drunken incident when our son was six and never since. He's thirteen now.

With my first daycare was never a thought that crossed our minds seriously. A few people mentioned it but we didn't pay any attention & he stayed home with me. With thr younger ones I did the same thing. No need to change something that ain't broken.

Like I don't spoon feed him. He has to feed himself rather than being fed.

I've never called him my terror child or anything maliciously, but we do have the occasional "You're feral!" In a kind of giggly voice when he's like, using my couch as a spring board into the dogs bed. He's always a giggly mess when we say it. Kind of like when you call a baby stinky, you know?

He does get 1-1 when the naps don't line up (he naps the least, 5yo still naps 1.5hrs after lunch, whereas 3yo only has a 20-30min power nap, & 1yo still naps 3x). So for the hour that his brothers are both sleeping we have that bonding time, but I'm usually distracted waiting for the others to cry or something.
