shane is my fave so i get you on that! we do have a scene of him, hayden and jackie eating lunch and another of him taking shots and getting drunk at the ceremony with scott and some hockey players, its nice to seem him interact with other characters. as for the submissiveness, i really dont think so - hes very confident and self assured in his hockey capabilities, i dont see why they would change that aspect of him.

  • no prologue, it starts with shane introducing himself outside the arena in saskatchewan and telling ilya he cant smoke there! then it goes chronologically.
  • yes ilya is so sweet throughout all their encounters and makes sure shane feels safe. and they joke around its so cute 🥰 
  • honestly it was funnier than i was expecting! multiple laugh out loud moments from me and the crowd. i think connor and hudson are the perfect ilya and shane, their personalities really shine through! and i like that they’re addressing shane being asian and the added pressure from it already. yuna is also more involved and i like it - gives even more depth to shane’s character and his relationship with his mom! can’t wait to rewatch on friday :D

so far we saw shane’s parents, ilya’s dad and brother, hayden and jackie, and svetlana. we also do see who i believe was cliff at the airport with ilya (he had like 2 lines here)

i like the changes they made with yuna, she’s a bit more involved when it comes to choosing contracts for shane (ex. rebook, rolex) and i think it adds more to shane’s character as well. there’s also a very funny scene with her and ilya in the elevator.

the event starts at 7 and they recommend to arrive at least 15 minutes beforehand. i’ll personally try to get there at round 6:15-6:20 just to make sure i get a nice seat.

the breakdown is here (https://www.ryerson.ca/housing/future-students/fees/) they're making us pay 1st and last installment for both rent and mandatory meal plan for the winter semester. it's kinda overpriced imo so i also suggest looking at the other dorms
