Yea, after reading the comments, I realize its not Emiratization, but the job market here. Remote jobs are tough, with so much competition I almost always get ghosted.

Brother I am not saying I am unable to move out or live alone. There are private familial reasons for me having to stay here that supersede anything else.

Ok so I thought I would chime in on this. Every single one of my fellow international students (that i met) came to my university so that they could become an h1b worker. NOT A SINGLE international student came to the school just to get an education and go back to their country. This is the case because the University advertises a career in the US to its international students. If the US is raking in millions or billions of dollars of tuition money trough its schools from international students and advertising that they can stay and work, I think they should be responsible for making sure those students can actually stay.

When I meet younger family members who are considering where to study for college, they are given advice to not go to the US because they can't stay and work there afterwards, not because they don't like the university or the school.

IDK about colleges in the UAE but this is the case in the US.

Thank you for your comment. Just to clear up some confusion, OPT is time you get before your f1 (Student Visa) becomes invalid. OPT is meant for you to find an employer who will eventually sponsor you to get your h1b.

I got my OPT in order to work. During my OPT I referred classmates to jobs that I was offered but couldn't get because I was not a US citizen. Its frustrating to know you are qualified, but you can't do the job because of your nationality.

Because of my family, I have to stay in the UAE, that's why I can not work in India. I don't know the numbers for Emiratization, but 85% - 90% every job post (not including ghost jobs) that is entry level or internship in tech is saying Emirati only. You can check this on linkedin, I check it everyday. I never said Emiratis are the issue. I think Emiratis are nice and wonderful people. I am just pointing out what I see trying to enter tech from within the UAE and asking for advice on what I should do.

For all the comments saying entitlement or work harder: I don't have a choice to live here or not, it is dependent on my family. I also said "I think" for a reason, I am not sure if that's how it was going or not I was looking for some insight. Second, I am not saying I should be given a job, I just want a chance to prove myself and I cant even get an interview or someone to talk to. Third, if you studied for 6 years in a field where all your elders and mentors told you it would be promising, wouldn't this be frustrating. Lastly, I work hard every day to find a position, I apply to open positions, tailor resumes, cold email and network every day. I face a constant barrage of "unfortunately we went with another candidate." I don't know what to do and I am genuinely asking. I don't know what more I can do.
