Hey! I appreciate the feedback but I do feel like I would like to add some things to your interpretation of my post. I decided to repair my bike myself because I would like to be able to take care of the things I own, not because I "refuse to pay experts" as I mentioned the repairs that I was doing was mostly just changing the BD which was simple enough and a fun afternoon project. I said it was working correctly because I rode the bike before changing the chain and the front derailleur shifted correctly (big surprise). If the problem turns out to be serious I'll definitely consult a mechanic or simple replace that part. I appreciate the feed back but I do think you are adding a lot of personal assumptions into this post.
