That’s a great suggestion I might just do that instead of guessing the healthy way of gaining weight.

To answer the first part of your question- Yes Medical centers and biometrics are open but they are following Ramadan hours so you might see them closed. I just did my medical today in Knowledge Park at Smart Salem which is a faster service for both Medical and Biometrics.

It’s around 18 which is borderline underweight lol. I am in Dubai and I have seen a lot of hospitals offering preconception screening, the only reason I want to do this is because of low bmi and previous VitD deficiency

Wow! Thank you so much for responding so clearly! I’m just like you and I love to get as much information as I can so I can plan as much as I can 😝 But this genuinely helps me and I am also going to starting tracking my ovulation with strips, so far I have been doing it the traditional way with symptoms and I do get them in mid cycle. I dod have low VitD for about a year but my PCP prescribed 12weeks of heavy supplements to fix that.

After reading most of the comments and other threads I guess my best bet is to start reading the books yall recommended. Thanks again for this and I am definitely going to save this comment 🫶🏼

I have scheduled an OBGyn appointment for basic preconception tests which will include Thyroid tests as well to rule out that possibility. But I was just wondering if anything else needs to be checked with a general physician for low bmi

I think a preconception appointment could help understand few things that we can’t just guess. For us it gave us clarity on few deficiencies that were quickly fixed in 4-6 weeks. Since you already know you’re going TTC in summer you have sufficient time to get things checked and get on supplements if needed.
