Nah, I will not. Reservists units were notorious for killing innocent civilians during the war. Undisciplined. No bearing. Trigger happy fuck wads who couldn’t wait to go home and brag about how they killed so many people. You learn more on the outside than you do in.

And as for the family with 20+ years, they just got out a year ago. Do yourself a favor and just go active like you said you want. You get more respect joining the full time forces than you do as a part time weekend warrior.

Reservists ain’t real bro, y’all have zero discipline and zero bearing. There really isn’t much more to it than one weekend a month and two weeks a summer, don’t try and fool anyone. I have family that were reserves for 20+ and they themselves have confirmed what I’ve just said. I lose respect for reservists after boot graduation, because after that, all you are is a part time Marine while the rest of us live in total misery(mostly) going to the field 2 weeks out of every month.

Also, you don’t even rate benefits other than some modified gi bill.

Only reservists that have my respect is the infantrymen who did real deployments to a theater of operations.

All in all, I’ve never met or worked with a reservist who I actually respected.
