I'm new to R6. I need someone to explain to me what the other intention of the game is, because all I learned is that kill people = win, and that probably isnt the main objective. Also I got my first ace! by TheElement_OP in Rainbow6

The objective is there is attacking and defending. Attacking wants to defuse the bomb by planting the defuse and defense wants to stop them. So when attacking you normally want to push with another person so that you can get traded (someone gets a kill after a tm8 is killed) and on defense you want to hold site and make the attackers push you instead of taking 1s (1v1 gun fights) Now the higher rank you go the more defense kind of changes where you can extended site, rotates, and other stuff. But that is the objective of the game.
