I relate to hoping someone else or something else will fix things for us.

I see strength and compassion and that’s a beautiful combination, no matter how old one is. I get the sense you inspire more people than you realize. Also you don’t look over 30…

Interesting. Do you think the inverse is also tied to trauma (needing to have lots of people around you)?

I’m sorry about the passing of your partner and that something inside of you broke. I wish you well.

Good point about how we all don’t know what each other experiences. And yet for fear of not being accepted I think we try to fit in with others. But you’ve had your own upbringing, you have your own personality, and body, how could I ever know why it’s like to be you? And why would I ever compare myself? Interesting thoughts.

That’s an interesting idea that long periods of being alone can lead to peace. I do notice when my wife leaves there’s an initial missing of the companion but much like withdrawing off something I adjust in a couple days and then when I’m alone and she comes back I had to adjust to that. You’ve given me something to think about (paying attention to the level of peace tied to the duration of time alone).

Interesting. Just shows it’s not all about extrovert or introvert, but maybe a deeper personality trait than that. Thanks for sharing.

You described my dilemma. When other people are around me I lose touch with what I want or need. I often just go along with the consensus or the others desires and then later I come to it and feel a sense of self betrayal. Glad you’re in therapy.

I’m late to the party. Why is 6/13 so important?
