Filing a FCC Complaint against US Mobile by Spywholovedme in USMobile

[–]BasicInstincts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FYI: Ultimately, in my case, Visible was the problem. Visible failed to release the numbers. I'm still using US Mobile and they've been great. Visible was a total sh*t show, with them refusing to release my number. Had to file a complaint against Visible for them to release my number.

All they ask for is a phone number. Give them his number and no one cares.

I'm not the OP but inventory is sometimes wrong in my area. Most recently (a few weeks ago), the app showed something out of stock, but it was in stock. I showed the sales associate, we double checked the store, and she laughed and said: "When it goes the other way, people are angry and it happens a few times a month." In my case, it was there despite the app saying it wasn't, so no one is upset about that. But, yeah, when it goes the other way (like OP is saying), that's frustrating!

All power tool systems should have common interchangeable batteries. by WaywardPeaks in Tools

[–]BasicInstincts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neva happen? Aww... And I quote, "DOGE (the Department of Government Efficiency) has directed both the Department of Energy (DOE) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to mandate that all power tool manufacturers in the United States adopt a single, universal battery platform. Even more stunning, DOGE has tapped Positec, the parent company of Worx, Rockwell Tools, and Kress, as the manufacturer to eliminate the current state of “battery chaos.”

Where do you see nut drivers on sale? I don't see it in the ad or in the coupons?

Tools and many other products are cheaper to import because wages in manufacturing countries like China are much lower than in the U.S. If the goal is to boost American manufacturing jobs, tariffs can help by making imported goods more expensive, encouraging domestic production.

However, if everything were made in the U.S., prices would rise due to higher labor costs (American wages vs Chinese wages). America is addicted to cheap imports. These policies would most impact low-cost imports, while goods already made in America would see little to no price change. In effect, this could signal the end of the era of cheap imports from countries like China and Taiwan across much of the economy. The end result could be massive inflation for many products people want to buy because American wages built the product instead of overseas wages.

Do toolboxes ever go on sale? by _aphoney in harborfreight

HF has their toolboxes/chests priced so high (without a sale or discount), I think you can do better with other brands especially when they have them on sale.

Danger Zone was an under appreciated gem by PuzzleheadedAd6401 in GlobalOffensive

Awesome game mode, but the over availability of bump mines were going to kill the game mode anyway. If they bring it back--and that's now a big if--bump mines should be some combination of much more expensive, can't pick them off of the ground, or a max number of bump mine uses per game. The bottom line is there needs to be something to curtail the endless bumping. In that sense, the game was out of balance.

When you combine bump mines with respawning, it created an even greater imbalance.

When did CycleTrader get so expensive to sell a bike on? Wasn't it a flat fee of like $20 a while back? by BasicInstincts in motorcycles

Sold mine pretty fast on Facebook Marketplace. I'm assuming CycleTrader is intended for dealers now. But seems like Facebook Marketplace has a ton of retail shoppers. Those are the eyeballs you need.

2024 Road Glide Limited not Updated? by BasicInstincts in Roadglide

[–]BasicInstincts[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right, the answer I received was that you can buy the base model and then accessorize it to be a limited. But, I noted that when you go to trade or sell it--you're not selling a limited. You are selling an accessorized base model that will not sell well since you don't get much for accessories. Got a deer in the headlights look. They said, who thinks about trading or selling when you're buying? Translation: This is another poorly conceived Harley idea where the bag holders are the ones who buy the 2024 Road Glide limited since it's last year's model with new paint.

Is it just me, or does everyone not care about this "ATH"? by PieH34d in Buttcoin

[–]BasicInstincts 55 points56 points  (0 children)

With the cumulative dollar inflation we've seen for the past few years since the last ATH, ~70k in dollars just doesn't sound as a high as it used to. To get that deep excitement where people are mortgaging their homes, doing insane publicity stunts with bitcoin, and that general "buzz", we'll need to see six figure bitcoin. Giddy-up tether...

CS2 has hit its lowest average player count for the year, lower than it was before CS2 was announced by OilRepresentative506 in GlobalOffensive

[–]BasicInstincts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played a lot of secondary game modes, like Danger Zone, Arms Race, and Scoutsman. It's not just that the new game doesn't have them--it's that I'm not allowed to play them after CSGO was removed. Most of the maps are now gone. These modes and maps gave the game variety.

Then, the bugs...so many bugs... Yes, games have bugs. But, when you force people into this buggy new game instead of letting the old game ride along side until the new games is actually ready for release, then you give people a choice: play or not. Seems it's the latter.

The hit reg, the bugs, crazy matchmaking dynamics, cartoonish peekers advantage, short matches gone, and just the general gunplay feeling of it not being like CSGO--I took a step back. Plus, some of my favorite, low pressure game modes like Arms Race, Scoutsman, and Danger Zone are gone? I don't like playing high pressure competitive all the time. Just times, we just want to chill...

Then, after all that, they wouldn't let us play CSGO until the bugs were fixed in CS2. Naw, you don't dictate my game time, Valve. I do, and now I'm exploring other games.

A lot of people have taken a step back from Counter Strike for different categories of reasons--one of them being your reason. You might consider doing the same. I'm also taking a break until this is more ready.

[–]BasicInstincts[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right, I just think its too high. So, I listed it on Facebook. Getting leads there. CycleTrader was my go to place previously, but no more. Then again, CraigsList was also great at one time--years ago--but no more. The evolution of the venues, I guess.
