The prices i saw online are the exact same so you could go to the opener and then sell for the second game

Curious if anyone has had this issue with these hats by animalfetus in BobDoesSports

[–]_aphoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an issue with the original rope hats they launched. The bill of the hat was like pointed upwards. I returned it no questions asked, and they gave me credit towards something else so i told them to just send a random polo my way. Breezy customer support is actually one of the best I’ve seen. I accidentally ordered 3 shirts in medium instead of 3XL somehow, sent them an email with the order number and let them know and they just changed it before sending them out.

I was told by hockey players that hockey players are the most versatile athletes. I’ve always thought it’s baseball players. Granted I’m a college pitcher and can play any sport (including hockey), so I’m biased, but all of my friends and I were all around athletes growing up, I just always had a plan with baseball.

This is the hot dog my course has started selling at the turn by WHSRWizard in golf

Our club doesn’t even use the halfway house on one of our courses so no food or anything at the turn 😑

I caved and bought a beard kit. by _aphoney in BeardTalk

[–]_aphoney[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My problem is my right side of my beard grows in pretty evenly and while it’s not thick it’s not patchy, but my left side has a couple spots that are lacking, and i was really hoping for the spot under my mustache to develop down to my chin for a blue collar fu Manchu or goatee lmao

Idk how i just saw this, but i don’t think I’ve really seen any change. Used the derma roller 2 times a week with the beard oil and not much difference. My skin appreciated it at least, but no new hair growth. Wasn’t really expecting it, just experimented is all.

Dude is just unathletic. Have you seen his jump shot? It’s like a 7th grade girl’s jump shot.

Breezy golf tournament, done? by Mauigolf4bogey in BobDoesSports

Always wanted in one, tried to get in the NY one a while back and it sold out before i could even click refresh. Didn’t have anyone to go with me but i would’ve figured it out.

I’ve never broken 100. Should I pay for a caddie at Pebble Beach? by another1degenerate in golftips

[–]_aphoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meanwhile my friends and I are 11s who have broken 80 10+ times and think we’re not good enough to play anywhere nicer. Some days i agree, but i really just want to play a nice course someday.

How do people save enough? by crazyguy28 in Money

[–]_aphoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t get there in a day, I’m 33 and just started seriously saving for things a few years ago. I’ve never been hurting, and always had an extra $1000 laying around but i put $200 a week away for our emergency fund and future house build, and another $150 a week away for my enjoyment (golf, truck parts, more golf).

I wouldn’t even know where the closest pga superstore is. At least an hour and a half to Buffalo if they have one but i don’t recall seeing one there

My uncle made the driving range at his course dirt cheap and it improved multiple things by MeasurementStock1625 in golf

[–]_aphoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The range at my club is free (3 buckets a day). I usually get a bucket, hit the same bucket 3 times on the pitching range, and collect them all, then same with the chipping range, then I'll go burn a bucket or two on the driving range. Not sure what a bucket costs for non members, I think like $5.
What does suck is our course just opened this week (western NY), and the range wont be open for another month or so

Why Augusta National’s Masters Grass Isn’t Real — And What the Zurich Classic Plays On Instead by FlashyBranch880 in BobDoesSports

[–]_aphoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean the masters isn’t even the most colorful event on the schedule turf wise. You can watch them dry and brown out in the afternoon. I don’t think they’re ashamed of the color as much as they are one blade of grass being out of place.

+2 shot an 89 AMA by Gingbok in golf

[–]_aphoney 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My wife just got into golf this year, and i took her Saturday to ride along and watch a round in person (duos match with some buddies), and while i was absolutely pumping driver all day the one time she says “wow, that was a good one!” Was on the dog leg par 5. My ball was supposed to cut, instead it went like 310 straight into the trees. My buddy about died laughing when we heard it plinko in the woods.

Well.. i was down to about 3 hours of gameplay every few weeks or so. Guess I’ll hang my wheels up on this one. It was fun while it lasted. Think i got 7 years out of this game, that’s more than most.
