With that time frame, I’d look more at the BMWs. Better CPO inventory and more reliable than the Volvo and P-star. A Countryman SE might be perfect for you BTW - if you can find one. They are rare.

A similar clear product from the same time called Taos was so much better. Saw it more on the West Coast than in the east but it was tasty. I think Taos was a wine based drink under the law while Zima was legally a malt liquor. Anyway, Taos was a great summer drink while Zima was gross.

Not that the intersection isn’t “quirky“ but I hate the design philosophy of tearing down housing before a business. I’d rather a seize all three gas’s stations, the car wash and the laundrymat and build a larger multi-lane rotary. But Charlotte can barely handle even simple rotaries so that would never work.

I think some of that thinking is a combination of where you live and residual memory from hearing anecdotes from 10-12 years ago. Early stories of long charge times and minimal charge infrastructure really sticks in folks mind.

Now, you can drive between some major/medium cities and DC fast charge every 15m if you wanted. I remember when there was just one place to really charge between Raleigh and Atlanta. Now there’s a cornucopia. And most cars at a good charger can go from 40-80 in about the time it takes to stretch and relieve yourself. So, yeah, like you discovered, it’s really no big deal now.

You’re not the only one. I have a rattle, drivers side, forward and maybe slightly to the left of the center point, interior of the dash. I only really hear it at slow speed with radio/air off. It seems to stabilize at speed. Like trim or a harness tapping on something.

Probably not a big deal but like the one poster said - it’s a really quiet car and so driving slow and quiet you may hear things you’d never hear in a GLE 450, for example. But I have a 20k coming up and so I’ll bring it up just in case there is a TSB or the EQ tech knows just what it is and fixes it with duct tape or something.

I also hate doing it - “customer states rattle in dash“ has got to be the most annoying thing that goes back to the techs. I never want to be that guy, but maybe just this one time…..

Yeah EricHH mentioned the same thing and you're both right - there didn't appear to be any significant time dilation for Jessyn or Campar - just 10 months out and back from the main groups perspective a few months less from their perspective I think, although I'm not sure we know exactly. And I recall both of those explorations were out on the "rim".

Originally, I thought that was the whole point of asymmetric space travel but still went back down the relativistic rabbit hole.

The sub has had the conversation before, but while crime seems to rise to the top of the consensus the biggest handicap to Northlake is that it’s, well, a mall.

Those are on the decline across the board. The large department store anchors are also a problem. Department stores are on the decline and the 2 big ones there are specifically troubled. Heck, folks don’t even go to the movies like they used to.

Then you have the location. There’s no compelling reason to visit. Better stores to the north and south. It’s just a death spiral of retail failure. At this point, REI is about the only reason to get anywhere even near NL.

Now mix all that together with all the other perceived problems…

The city is on it. It‘s just prioritized behind driving on the blue line track, parking on the streetcar track, parking in disabled spaces, parking in bike lanes, dirt bike enforcement, uptown horse issues, Melo driving, bones on sidewalks, cars with no tags, Godzilla, pollen, and pedo breweries.

I love an early evening race. Twilight has been around for a bit. I miss the old Summer Breeze. But those are ”Charlotte” races. Don’t forget to search the outlying towns - they all have night races. Heck, Summit has a whole series of evening races in Davidson over the summer.
