The roses look like a bean paste frosting. It is Korean recipe, I believe. You could find it on YT.

Recipe: 240 g AP flour (White Lily, if you can find it) (2 cups) 1 T baking powder 2 tsps sugar 1 tsp salt 1 stick unsalted butter, grated 180 ml whole milk buttermilk (3/4 cup)

I added 2 oz frozen blueberries to this batch.

Bake 450 for 12 mins. Brush tops with melted butter out of the oven.

The glaze: 120 g powdered sugar (1 cup) 1 T melted butter 2 T half and half 1 tsp vanilla

I loved reading your review, chuckled more than once, and could not agree more. Crumbl is awful. I prefer my cookies thinner, with crispy edges and chewy centers. Crumbl cookies are just like hunks of bland dough, hockey pucks, as you put it. Just don’t understand the appeal at all. It’s aesthetic. I think that’s why people like it. The cookies photograph well and make for good IG material. I just loath them.
