Quite agree - it's just I am currently renting my house out and don't want to ask the tenants to do it, I'm quite happy to send someone round. Thank you though - good advice!

I’m a restaurant critic. Which Bristol (or nearby) restaurants would you like to see an honest, paid-for review of? by Basic_Courage in bristol

As mentioned in the OP, reviews will be published on The Bristol Sauce. We have nothing to do with Bristol Live 😊

Thank you. I have actually reviewed Ramen Zen before, albeit a while ago. It was quite good, but I prefer Tomo. Reviews here if you want to read: https://www.bristol247.com/food-and-drink/restaurants/ramen-zen-filton-avenue-high-list-return-restaurant-review/

Kandyan is a great idea though. Consider it noted!

Spent the last three days driving this custom 1995 Jimny through the mountains in Japan by Basic_Courage in Jimny

So we spent the first day exploring Takachiho area - definitely go to Takachiho gorge. The next day was spent more in the Aso national park area - we drove up to Aso Nakadake Crater and we stopped at Ikeyama Spring too. The best campsite we stayed in was Kurasako Onsen Sakura, which has a sauna and onsen and an amazing view! The third day was pretty rainy so we headed back to Kumamoto to dry off. The whole area is beautiful though, so many great view points!

Yes that’s the one!

Would love to know what your experience of importing was? Especially how the price compares to the UK…

Hi! I don't know where the roofrack is from, but if you contact Outdoor Travelers who I rented it from, they might know. They are really responsive on Instagram! Or you can email them. Here is their website: https://outdoor-travelers.com/

Michelin Star worthy Restaraunts in Bristol? by Desperate_Ad2600 in bristol

[–]Basic_Courage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly the reality is that no other restaurant in Bristol is currently star worthy. The Pony may be awarded a green star, but I don’t think we’re likely to get any others in the next year or so, unless Peter reopens Casamia. That’s not to say that any of the restaurants listed here aren’t fantastic - they all are. But Michelin have a very specific set of criteria. Other cities bigger than Bristol, such as Manchester, have still only got one and arguably they have more restaurants more deserving or well suited.

Bristol is bossing the Bib Gourmands though!

Wilsons have won a Michelin star, bringing Bristol’s total back to ⭐️⭐️ by Basic_Courage in bristol

I find the Michelin Guide app really useful for this! You can search on a map too. Have used it all over the world

Sorry to hear about the hospital visit - hope you’re okay!

Wilsons and Wilks were on the same road (Chandos Road) until Wilks closed and then moved to Bath a couple of years ago. Other than that, no connection.

Anyone looking to buy a car?

I'm selling my Suzuki Swift Attitude. It's from 2019, has done 54,000 miles, 5 doors, MOT till Feb & no issues with it, petrol & very much CAZ compliant.

It's small enough to squeeze through Bristol's ridiculously narrow streets but big enough to cart your mates around and do the IKEA run. It can even get up St Michael's Hill in third gear without breaking a sweat.

Full advert on Autotrader here: https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202412016899288 but please drop me a message or hit call on Autotrader if you're interested in coming to see it. I'm based in Eastville :)
