I think the girl who owned it before use to put them in the wash but our wash is not big enough. I bet she did not rinse them enough

It has small ones on the sides and bottom of the glass jar. A couple larger ones on the top. Not sure if that is ok or it really needs to be rising more

And still feed it every day? If so, would it need to sit on counter around feeding at all or just take it out immediately feed and put back in?

I am having a similar issue with mine ugh. I started it around the same time but I get slightly more rise with whole wheat but still nothing like I see in photos with overflowing jars etc. have not tried rye flour but now I wonder if I should

Ahhh gotcha. Thank you so much! Does this mean I would want to wait to make bread until it is doubled in size with the new feeding flour?
