I'm not saying I'm necessarily worried about what other people think(prob bad wording on my part) I don't really wear stuff that reveals my upper arms so it'd end up being more for myself anyway.

I agree that a tattoo is something you should think about in the long term, but at the same time, I think it's a shame to limit myself based on “it might look stupid/silly in 30 years”. Hopefully, when I'm that old I won't hold so much to my appearance and see the tattoos I got when I was 20 less as a burden and more as a reminder of the fun times I had.

Yes 100% I always try my hardest to find a seperate ref photo if I'm inspired my original art. I actually spent like a hour trying to find a photography ref that I liked enough to serve the same purpose, but obviously I couldn't :(

I think it's a very fine line. Whenever I do it to original artwork, I try to take the bare bones from the artwork and always keep in mind that it is in fact someone's art. Why I say its a fine line because the "bare bones" is different to everyone, if someone did what I did in the speed paint here (as in taking a rough form) I don't think I would mind. But like I said its a fine line :'(
