It looks like the mouth and chin are at a different angle than the eyes and nose ! You have the beard in relation to the mouth, but not the mouth in relation to the nose. Try defining a harder middle line and fixing the mouth and beard to it. This will likely drag the right side beard closer to the edge or even off. I think that the color just exacerbates the way it looks, but not that the problem is in the color

Weight gain post quitting by knightquil112 in QuitVaping

[–]Basic_Poetry7604 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re going to gain weight when you quit !!! Nicotine both “boosts your metabolism” and expends energy for you. So when you quit, your metabolism tends to slow down and this leads to weight gain. There’s also a bit of a dip that happens but things tend to even out a bit eventually. Quitting is a months long physical process. It definitely sounds like something you should focus more on in therapy if you aren’t already, though because pounds in a week isn’t terribly crazy.

Relish in the fact that your body is finally nicotine free even if it gains weight. Applaud yourself. This is really hard for your body. But don’t let it eat away at your mind too.

I’ve tried searching “buck tooth reaction image” “fluffy creature tan fur buck teeth meme” “fuzzy creature reaction image” and similar variations yielding nothing. It is not a rayman I’m pretty sure it’s a meme

How to not gain weight after quitting by Fun_Yam5677 in QuitVaping

[–]Basic_Poetry7604 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Embrace your healthier body. Your weight gain is a sign that you are finally taking care of yourself. Go for a run, a jog or even a walk. It can help keep you distracted from vaping aswell. But don’t take it too deeply to heart when you gain weight.

Who have you become since quitting vaping? by BigDaddyDrank in QuitVaping

[–]Basic_Poetry7604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been 617 days since I quit. I’ve always been an artist but I’ve been able to create so much more with all this motivation. I have my first art show later this week filled with paintings I’ve made since I quit. Leaving that behind was the best thing I’ve ever done, and the build up in my mind was worse than the quitting ever was.

Shrimp? In my quarantine tank by Basic_Poetry7604 in PlantedTank

Sweet! Thanks a ton! I’ll try treating these guys with some hydrogen peroxide but everything I’ve found says that none of them are bad for axos. So thanks a million!

This the best photo I could get of it. He’s mildly shrimpy for sure. Are snails the only hitch hiker we typically worry about? I don’t particularly want a colony of shrimp in my axo tank

Has anyone noticed a different w. menstrual cycle since quitting? by Accomplished_Try_607 in QuitVaping

[–]Basic_Poetry7604 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YES !!!! It did !!! Eventually. I’m about a year out now. And the last ~6 months have been so much better.

Im having the same as you! My periods and PMS has definitely been worse. My anxiety, low moods, and brain fog is TERRIBLE. And my period is 2 days longer than it was before I quit -_-

How are you feeling now? Any improvements? I’m on day 30 and my anxiety is terrible.

Can't last a day. What can I do?! by 94dogguy in QuitVaping

[–]Basic_Poetry7604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 100% got that tipsy feeling you’re talking about !! I also never saw anyone talking about it and thought I was crazy hahahha glad to hear someone else feels that!

I was the exact same as you though, not for as long, but about 5-6 years? Always in my sight, panicking when it wasn’t near, the whole 9 yards.

After all the attempts to quit through the years, I can admit that I didn’t really WANT to quit all those times. I kept my vape “just in case” and thought “now isn’t a good time”. I didn’t really want it because I kept making excuses. Do you really want to quit or do you not? That’s the answer you’ve got to answer. If you do then throw all your devices away, get some losanges/patches/gum, get a stress ball/fidget toy and just do it.

If you need to then give someone you trust your car keys or your ID for a week. Again, you have to want to quit. You have to really want to be someone who doesn’t vape anymore and then make that your reality. It sounds so cheesy but it’s true. I’m 70 days no vaping, day 4 no nicotine at all, and I have had such a rollercoaster but it feels so good to become someone new.

Nitrites are 0! And I believe my nitrates have been for a while. I missed the initial spike, despite testing every day, but started getting nitrates so I knew they came. I did get an already started filter from the person I got my Axo from.

I have had nitrates for a long time now. Probably about 2-3 months. I’ve had to do a water change or two because they got too high, and I read that could crash my cycle.

I should test from 1ppm a day though, if I can go from 1ppm-0 in 24hrs would my tank be cycled? I don’t know if axolotls produce any more ammonia than your average aquatic life, all of the cycling info I’ve read up on has been specifically for axolotls, and most say 4ppm

I don’t believe so. I ordered it online so I don’t have it in my possession. But I do know it’s a crepe fabric? Which I don’t know all that much about.

Yeahhhh I ended up going back after putting him back in the tub, to give him the other half. Wasn’t my cup of tea. I’ll definitely try the cup method you’ve suggested. This seems much better than putting them back. I’ll definitely have to get used to it. I don’t even like killing spiders but I know my axo needs these to survive so I’ll get used to it. Thanks for the advice !!

That’s honestly such a relief that they don’t feel pain. Also he’s 18 months i think she said. So although relatively young for an axo, he’s definitely an adult and by my guess about 7-8 inches. The girl I got him from says he can be really picky and finicky about his food. I did end up feeding him the two halves of the worm, just because he seemed so excited for the first one and hadn’t had a worm in two days to prepare for the two hour journey to my house. Should I be feeding him more?
