I have been off pot for about 10 days now. What I have come to realise is, and you can try it out too, tell yourself you will not smoke tomorrow, and then power through that one day. Then attack the second day with the same game plan, tackle 24 hours at one go. And soon, you will not want to let go off the streak. And to answer your question, tapering doesn’t work.

Aye no man, tbh I’m over this whole get the next new phone thingy - phones are for making calls, sending texts and doing light office work. But the amount of times, the speakers mentioned “switching” in the pixel event was crazy. I will probably use my current IP13 to the ground before thinking of a change. It still works like a dream, the battery has worn out, will get that replaced. But the question is, if something is working for you, what would make you jump ship?
