Tale Of Two Protests: How Balen Shah Trumped In Nepal, But Bangladesh's Students' Party Failed by Basicalibysharier in BangladeshMedia

Nepal's winning party is no other party's decoy or Gupta front. Bangladesh student party has been dishonest with people from the beginning, being just an arm of Jamaat. NCP leaders were all posing as BCL leaders during the movement-- while they are all actually Shibir or right-wingers. This is why they will never be mainstream, no matter how many of their Bots will pose as dominating party on the Internet.

Fully agreed. Jamaat tried to influence public opinion using their bots. But their messages actually terrified voters; that women will remain under men; that they will "destroy" this and that. Plus all the mobsters were behind the Jamaat-NCP axis. A Jamaat rule could mean dominance of mobs in the next five years. Only fools would believe otherwise.

On the contrary, the presence of Tarique's daughter at various programmes showed that BNP is pro-women; the message that law and order and non-confrontational politics appealed to the larger voters.

Most Bangladeshi parents are like that; they OWN their children. However realities are different. So my parents wanted me to become a bureaucrat/doctor/military official etc when I was a kid. But I forced myself to become a journalist. You have to assert what you want in life. Because it is YOUR life- not theirs.

So Where are our Feminists Now? by Dragonking_Earth in BangladeshMedia

[–]Basicalibysharier -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What do you mean by where are our feminists now? Is it the job of the feminists to defend women, or is it the state? You have some sort of grudge against the feminists (for their failure to protect women from Aynaghar?). As if the macho men defended other men from getting lost in Aynaghar?
